Serious Question, why do HBCUs hate on each other? Its goes beyond "SMACK"

I attended a HBCU and it just drives me crazy how we hate on each other. I'm ok with talking "SMACK" but some of the comments made on the forum is just down right ugly.

Because just like in real life, a black mofo hate to see another black mofo with $1 more than they do. If they ain't got shat, they gonna do everything in their power to make sure you sit in the same wasted space they occupy. It's the Ghetto mentality effect. :lol:
 



I'm going to be real. There are some, and I emphasis SOME, who down right HATE other SWAC schools. Yet, with me and some others we can't. How can I hate Southern when my dad went there (didn't finish because of the draft), 5 cousins, and 3 uncles who graduated from there. The same with UAPB when I had 1 great aunt and 3 great uncles who graduated from Arkansas AM&N. I applied to Jackson State and earned a scholarship but chose Grambling because they were willing to give me a job on campus.....

I said all that to say it's all for fun with me.

Now you let some fool come on this page bashing HBCUs in general and he/she will get smacked, cursed out, and the TSPN will damn near shut down....Real Talk.

I look at it like this Grambling needs Jackson State, Alcorn, Valley, Texas Southern, UAPB, Prairie View, Southern, Alabama A&M, and Alabama State just as much as they need Grambling.
 
It's not all black people. Some of us are decent folk who are use to quality and those who aren't use to quality see it and hate on it. Example, we trained some staff members at valley on a cross enrollment program, once they got their program up and running they stopped communicating with us. When we call them for assistance with our delta project they talk like they will assist us but they never do.

I always see them at the JSU/Valley game in Itta Bena and for those who never attend that game. It looks like a JSU homecoming. Our fans seriously take over the campus and outnumber them probably 4 to 1.

When I see them they talk not only smack, which is o.k. They say things like, I seriously can't stand you MF's in a bad way.

Unfortunately, all people aren't built the same intellectually. Consequently, some actually believe that you hate their school and not gifted enough mentally to make a smack distinction. :lol: :emlaugh:

On the real, I just mess with yall. I don't hate any school... I may not like their athletic programs but I'm all for higher learning!

I'm sure some of you have seen me post " I love SU, but I hate the Jags!". That's pretty much how I feel about the rest of yall...except I don't hate yall (mascot/programs) as much!
 
I don't really think folks have that much hate for other HBCU's. We can criticize each other to the n-th degree, but don't let someone (like Texas Terror) come in here doing it.

SEC schools will snitch on each otherin a heartbeat and set other SEC coaches and programs up to get caught and penalized by the NCAA. Now that's real hate.

Really like what the Founder said here. My family HBCU tree:

Dad - South Carolina State
Mother - Alcorn
Sister - UAPB
Me - Alcorn
Son - FAMU
Daughter - Southern

SMACK is good talking but when the talk turn to demeaning facilities, faculity, leaders, etc. I believe we cross the line.

Alcorn and Valley folks really hate us and we don't give a rats azz about them. We worry about SU, GSU, and TNState more then them.

I don't understand this. I can see them disliking us during a friendly competitive game but they live to hate JSU. We are always the ones at the state capital rallying to keep valley open. Most Alcornites I know have a love hate relationship with us during rival games, but on the other hand, valley folks hate us with a passion for no reason.

I remember the swac 99 game. Su beat us 31 to 30. (BEST SWAC CHAMPIONSHIP EVER). More than half of all swac bands where there playing and they were cheering for su. But the Boom lowered the boom on all of them.

I love all SWAC schools.....For a long time, I didn't like the Southern posters because of a few PM's I got sent but it is all fun and games. I have had a blast after every SWAC campus I been too.

Same here! When I'm on here, I try to be positive about all swac/hbcu's. I will smack people and schools only when it's football season. I have gone hard on SU for their degrees, but it was all in fun.

I don't think Alcorn hates us.. They extremely dislike us but don't think it is hate.. Valley fans had shirts printed that read I would rather go to hell than Jackson State.

I know, but tell me why on an average every semester I see at least 15 transfers from vstate to JSU.
