Position: Senior/Lead PERFORMANCE Engineer
Location: Montgomery, AL
Length: 1year + (Project Slated for 3 years)
Rate: $45-48/Hr. on W2 or C2C
Interview Process: Would hire off of Phone/Skype

Must Have:
LOADRUNNER EXPERT KNOWLEDGE IS A MUST-HAVE

Software testing Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Automation or performance testing Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Expert knowledge of HP QTP and/or HP LoadRunner required
Strong SQL knowledge with the ability to write complex SQL joins in order to retrieve data from databases.
Understanding of basic waterfall and agile/iterative project management concepts.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Lead Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is primarily responsible for testing all software products—built in-house, purchased and installed locally, or configured in the cloud. The Lead QA Engineer partners with internal stakeholders to plan, test, and implement all software changes to ensure that products conform to the desired quality standard. This role requires strong technical skills and the aptitude required to identify and resolve critical issues. The Lead QA Engineer uses technical programming expertise to build automated and performance tests. The individual will be expected to contribute towards the organizational goal of continuous process improvement. This role requires strong communication and the ability to lead a small programming team of QA Engineers. The Lead QA Engineer will help establish automated and performance testing industry best practices and processes in the QA organization. This role requires an individual who is a software testing subject matter expert and a testing certification. Under the leadership of the Director of Testing, (s)he will define clear goals, measurements, and benchmarks to support IT strategies and advance quality in IT.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Develop automated or performance test scripts 30%
Use VBScript or C++ programing techniques to create or modify automated or performance test scripts.
2. Develop and manage testing plans and other QA-related artifacts. 10%
Coordinate the end-to-end project and SDLC testing effort for assigned initiatives, from project kickoff through final implementation. Validate user requirements, draft test plans and test cases, write user/other testing scripts, recommend appropriate tools, and participate in any appropriate elements of the IT QA effort.
3. Execute the IT quality testing program. 10%
Execute the comprehensive automated or performance testing program and processes for IT applications, hardware, and other systems.
4. Provide input to the IT quality metrics reporting system. 10%
Assist VP/QA in developing trend analysis and metrics reports to assist IT leadership with continuous quality improvement. Administer and regularly validate these metrics.
5. Proactively seek and engage in professional development opportunities. 10%
6. Train and mentor QA resources. 30%

A. Technical/Specialized:
· Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
· Software testing Subject Matter Expert (SME).
· Automation or performance testing Subject Matter Expert (SME).
· IT testing certification (CSTE or CSQA).
· Expert knowledge of HP QTP and/or HP LoadRunner required.
· Ability to program with VB, JAVA, and/or C++.
· Strong SQL knowledge with the ability to write complex SQL joins in order to retrieve data from databases.
· Ability to anticipate user behavior or identify risks to systems.
· In-depth understanding of automation and performance testing concepts.
· Broad technical knowledge, including hands-on experience, managing system testing in new computing architectures/environments. Knowledge of relevant tools, databases, and middleware.
· In-depth knowledge of system performance including CPU and memory utilization.
· Expert knowledge of automated testing methodologies, including selection, configuration, and maintenance of modern automation tools.
· Understanding of basic waterfall and agile/iterative project management concepts.
