SEC, Big12 reverts decision

ESPN is reporting that the SEC and Big 12 is reverting their initial decision to play this weekend to not to play any games.

Seems like after the NFL decided not to play, there is a domino effect going on for other leagues and conferences not to play either.

Most may be having logistical reasons for not playing. The White House has sent memos to the professional leagues giving them the ok to play.

Now, Major League Baseball is postponing all games thru the weekend and will start play on monday

Will the Swac and all the other 1AA conferances follow this lead.

NFL makes things happen

There will be no major sporting events this weekend.
Nascar, IRL, MLB, PGA, LPGA have followed the NFL's lead and has postpone or canceled events this weekend.

So far all the high schools in the Houston area are still planning to play. This may change because of the domino effect.
 
cancel the SWAC games this weekend and you'll have scheduling nightmares for conference games, I doubt SU will want to make up their game against PV the week before the Bayou Classic

we're at danger 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, the bombing just opened our eyes, schools that fly, I understand their issue but we bus most of the time anyway and canceling the games and making folks watch bombing footage on TV would only scare them even more.
 
I think when the NFL said they wouldnt play, the major conferences followed suit. I really dont think the big classics in Cincy and Memphis will be played.
