JSU Football: Statesmen deliver rude awakening

Division II power Delta State leaves town with convincing win over dazed Jackson State

By the end of the evening, the once-festive and partisan JSU crowd turned surprised and angry, with scattered boos heard throughout the stadium.

It was a stark downward turn for the Division I-AA program in its second season under coach Rick Comegy. Instead of showing progress after a rejuvenating 6-5 record last season, the Tigers were dismantled by a Division II team from the Gulf South Conference.

Now yall gotta face AAMU's wash rag in Memphis.

JSU, this is going to be a long season for yall.
 
Man, don't get crazy now. That was just one game against a QUALITY team. It's not like we lost to valley.

Well they deserved it. They first half of the game looked like a scrimmage or something (both teams played like their minds were elsewhere) :xeye:
The 2nd half both teams stepped it up "a" notch....
I hope the football team heard them... b/c they know darn well they made careless mistakes which need to be corrected if they plan on winning.
I'm glad we didnt' play a team such as PaulQuinn again... The statesmen played hard and now the Tigers know what they have to do in order to WIN and thats CATCH the darn BALL :angry:

The defense played well overall... The offense didnt show up until the 2nd half, I'm not pleased with that.

Now, they are a quality team? The week before, some of Mafia was calling everybody else out and waiting for some of us to return her on Tuesday. Y'all wasn't even mentioning DSU, like you were playing nobody.

You know, we told you guys last year that NCCU was a quality team and yes, I thought we still should have won, but y'all wasn't hearing that and clowned us relentlessly afterwords ...... Payback is a BIATCH JSU.:winkgrin:
