lol at nappy headed ho*s. They all had weave but still it wasn't right for him to do that.

But if someone black had referred to them as "nappy headed hos," it would've generated a laugh or two.

Double standard.

Carry on.

Yes, it's a double-standard from the "PC" community(John Rocker was blasted to smitherenes, yet northerners big city personalities, radio hosts take pot-shots at southerners with "redneck"/trailer/"tornado magnet" jokes all the time and everybody just laughs), but now hole on dude,, and this is a shocker coming from me, but i don't know if any black commentator would have dropped a bomb like that; a comedian (and our dumb stupid idiot rap/HH artists) yeah, but you think Tom Joiner would call a team of black females "nappy headed hoes" even in jest? dude i don't, but maybe so. perhaps ole boy was just trying to be funny in connection with the Spike Lee Movie and it didn't go over well (obviously).

Good point Panthro.

Sounds like he was quoting a line from one of the BET hard core rap videos shown to the world every night.

Freedom of speech is still a part of our Constitution, but he must know that he has to be willing to suffer the consequences of his words via fines, apologies, firing or whatever.

This man has a history of talking about several groups, Jews, Hispanics, Arabs, Whites, Blacks, Asians etc.

He's an entertainer, just like comedians and rappers, who call Black women all kinds of names, and sometimes worse.

Still though, he has the right to say what he wants, but he must be willing to suffer whatever comes his way.

I don't like it when we say things like this or they do. That's why I don't watch BET nor will I be watching his show anymore which I have in the past. Wrong is wrong regardless of whose mouth it comes from.

well,, i did give a caviot about comedians and subsequently grouped rappers in with them(before reading your reply). your points are taken.

Why in hell do people reference BET everytime a white person say's something stupid to give them an out.

Tim Hardaway lost his job because he SPOKE HIS MIND about gay's.
John Rocker was run out of baseball for the same thing and commenting on some of the freak's he saw on NY's subway system.

Don't say nothing even in a joke about gay, white women, etc cause that's your arse.

What in hell was the reason that this fossel got on the radio comparing JItgaBO vs Light skinned...(school day's), or calling a bunch of 18,19, and 20 year old COLLEGE WOMEN Nappy headed ho's.

Ya'll tripping cause if a BLACK MAN SAID THIS he would be a ghetto nicka like the people on BET ya'll alway's referencing.

What's next..............Giving Rush Limbaugh an out by saying he just took to many asprins for a head-ache.

you are making TOO MUCH sense right now.

This comment is offensive on so many levels and I would feel the same way if a black, white, or green radio host made it. We have the freedom of speech, but we DO NOT have the freedom to slander. And his comment labels Rutgers women's basketball team as a bunch of nappy-headed prostitutes. And there is a difference between a comedian or rapper and a radio host. Comedians and rappers do not have to adhere to the rules and regulations of the FCC. A radio host does.

Rocker was run out of baseball because became an ineffective pitcher that ran his mouth too much. If he could get it over the plate, he still would have been in the game.

Rappers and Comedians

,, yeah but it would seem that if (black) rappers and comedians (the ones usually most out front on social issues always criticizing everyone and everything else about wrong doing) were so sincere and so dedicated "to the cause" and so down with black "uplift and empowerment" and had respect for their own race, they would voluntarily refrain from such rhetoric, forget the FCC regulations and all that, they(we) are the ones that talk so much about words and terms and how we are so offended by others,, what about us being offensive to OUR OWN RACE, OUR WOMEN no less? and again, i'm no holy roller here,, just asking questions. seems hypocritical for us to blast others for something that we do and justify as "ok" for some reason. seems it should be "either/or" not a double standard is all i'm saying. lets all choose one way or the other and be consistant on it and get over it. either we blast everybody who says something offensive or we don't and we live with the consequences.

Dude stop.
Rocker could do no wrong before that interview.

People ran him like he murdered 30 people during the 8th inning.
Bring up Rocker's name now and I'll gurantee you they WILL NOT talk about baseball.

Another thing.
Why we gotta blast everything when other races don't before the MAJORITY of black people that don't perform on BET can get offended.

Why is it any other race on EARTH............AND GENDER......... can say what they want but the rest of the people on EARTH don't lump the entire RACE/GENDER into 1 ball.

Rappers say HO/***** and it's a reflection on EVERY BLACK PERSON ON EARTH.

THIS WHITE FOSSEL say's this shat and nobody equates the same standards to them.
He can get away with it with BLACK PEOPLE because RAPPERS on B.E. F-in T. say shat in songs.

Where is all this WE SHAT comming from.
I'm not a rapper.
I have not produced 1 tip drill video.:)

Re: Rappers and Comedians

I don't care what race you are. That convo shouldn't take place over any air-way, or with anyone with a mic and an audience. Rap...Comedians...Radio personel, whoever. It's more expected, due to context, when it comes to rappers and comedians...but, it doesn't make it right.

If that's between you and a friend over beers, while watching the game....no one can stop you. But, to put it out there like that, while being broadcasted, is just a no-no. Plain and simple.

:)

Panthro=Texas Terror.

I have more in common w/ him than you tilUDie. lol :emlaugh: :lmao:  :bawling:  :lmao: :emlaugh: And, I also know how to silence him unlike you. :read: Lastly, you should be trying to argue w/ your AD so that your programs can get back to the level they once were vs attempting to confront me lol . :read:

You have a serious problem w/ realism and truth don'tcha? :retard: That dude is over there RIPPING YOU TO SHREDS showing you the flaw in your reasoning and all you can come back w/ is: <b>"but we'z haves da' first roun' draft pick in the MLB draft 2 years ago."</b> Your program is going DOWNHILL. We took 2-3 from you @ YOUR place and will broom you in PV I'm fairly certain.

Your programs are slipping right before your very eyes and you're doing nothing about it but recanting what happend 2-100 years ago. Maybe this will help you (and HBU is a baseball power in the greater Houston area: read it for yourself <a href="http://swac.org/sprtindxs/bseindex.htm">here</a>). Granted, a majority of our wins were against sub-division foes but we're still rebuilding :read:. I know the season is still young but this lets you know how things are going and if they progress as current...:read: :
