Rushing Yards in the SWAC

Shouldn't there be at least one person near 100yard/game rushing.

I feel the same way. There are no tru stars at RB in the league anymore. Teams are too pass oriented. Every team needs more balance.
 



JSU is the only team that can run and pass the ball in the SWAC. Tarnaka Counselor is in a league by himself when it comes to SWAC runners. He would have 100 yards per game, but he sat out of the Valley game. On top of that, we feature two great backs and one of them is a fullback.....plus our passing game is top notch and is just like a long hand off.

So please dont inlcude us in the league without a great running back.
 
JSU is running the ball more than we are passing the ball. We are playing 4 running backs. This is why we are better than an all-star team from the rest of the SWAC schools.
 
We rotate 3 different running backs in throughout the game:

Boutte
Joseph
James

We'll never have another 100 yard rusher like D.J. Bradley and Thomas Siegh for a while. And as long as we have Cortez Hankton catching the ball all across the field, that'll solidify why we won't.

Have you ever seen Tarnaka Counslor?
 
Yes, I have seen Counslor... He is averaging 66 yards a game. That is far from a star... If he sat out the Valley game then it wouldn't be counted in the average. Do you understand?

The reason you rotate the ball to several RBs is because none of them are great, which was the point of the thread. Both of the JSU backs average around 60 to 50 yards a game and you call them great. Yeah right... All of they people on that list are great then. All of them are doing the same thing. I say again there are no great RBs in the SWAC.

No one is even near one hunderd yards per game. That equals no good running backs. It's a pass happy league... Last year there were two good running backs in the SWAC. Did anyone notice they were both in the SCG? The leading rusher in the league now has around 340 yards. That's after week 6 of the season. Most teams are half way through their schedule. And someone wants to say they have a good RB... Sure!!!

Get Ready, Counselor caused you the game against A&T, how the "L" you gonna get on his sack now? He also fumbled his arse off against USM and got pulled for fumbling against TnSU. You need to stop brainwashing yourself. I know better than to believe anything yall say, especially when Tigerpride comes behind you and piggybacks on your nut-ride.

The Valley game counts in his average because he did play but he got hurt around the 3rd offensive play. It counts unless you sit out the entire game. We rotate our backs because they're too good to just sit on the bench. When you look at the fact that both of our runners are averaging about 5 yards a carry and that we have 2 backs in the top 8, not to mention 2 others(Charles Lee and Brandon Cox) who are better than most teams starters, then we are better than an all-star team from the rest of the SWAC, especially when it comes to offense. The fact that we're #1 in rushing and passing offense proves this.

Y'all got 2 in the top 10. But you probably don't have anybody near the top 100 in receiving/passing. A one-dimensional squad can't say a thang to a multi-dimensional squad when that multi-dimensional squad is better at the only dimension that the one-dimensional squad is good at.;)

We got a late start in the passing game, but I'm more than sure ground will be made in the upcoming weeks. I'll get back to you on Nov. 9th.

BTW, what are you gonna do when one of those dimensions gets shut down? I know.....:lmao:

Counslor did not fumble one time against USM.....how did he get pulled for fumbling in TnSU game, WHEN HE DIDNT LOSE A FUMBLE IN THE TNSU GAME. Nevermind the fact that he was the on that ran the ball to the one yard line for the field goal and took the last carry. DONT LET A LITTLE THING LIKE THE FACTS GET IN THE WAY.

How come you 1-11 folks arent pumping him up as the leagues leading rusher anymore. You know why....cause Counslor is the leading rusher and he even sat out a game. Let me check that...he is the leading rusher, he played USM, other better competition than the rest of the SWAC, and he sat out a game. So is there any doubt about who is the class of the SWAC RBs

You have them lil sorry ass running backs that are forced to run the ball up the middle for 2 yards because your offense is so remedial and you have no talent. JSU has 8 people we can give the ball to....you never know where the ball is going. We dont have to run all the time because we cant throw, we dont have to throw all the time cause we cant run.

Your teams dont understand a team with a star running back that we dont mind sitting down for homecoming because we have 4 other backs.

Counslor did play about 3 plays. So they game did count. Since you are so apt at looking at stats, you will see that he has been charged with 5 games. Come on statman...get it right....for a change.

Dude....the article I read said that you went damn near 3 quarters without moving the ball against SUs defense. Man that is pathetic. You will get embarrassed in Jackson. I hope TnSU doenst burst you bubble too bad. I want you to come to Jackson thinking you have a respectable team.

I am not the one to down one player to make another one look good.... Tanaka did a very good job at the TSU game. He really impressed me. Gideon and Bonds have been doing a good job for AAMU. Bonds is starting to get more of the carries now. People often underestimate Gideon because of his size (he is only about 5'5)
