Someone said something to effect that Odom didn't play well last night.

Does he ever play well??? That dude is the poster child for inconsistent play. He was simply being himself-- undependable and waaaaay overrated.

Lakers forward Lamar Odom walks along Figueroa Street on
the way to Staples Center for Wednesday’s game.

He was tired from the 2 mile walk.

JR.

I could not even see these soft arse teams playing the New York Knick's that Jordan had to go against.
Can you imagine these soft arse mofo's having to play through hand checks, elbows, and being put on the floor hard like Magic, Bird and Isiah had to go through.
The X-man, would have people scared to come out the locker room in today's NBA.

The laker's damm near tore Isiah Thomas eye out.
Dude had blood flowing like strawberry soda on the floor.
He just sucked it up and came back out in that game and torched my Laker's with a bad leg and one eye.
All they called was a tech.

Who can forget the Laker's/Boston series when Boston was flooring my Lakers.
Specifically Kirt Rambus when he got undercut and put up into row #1.
What did Pat Riley say after Game 1.
"WE COMMING OUT PHYSICAL IN THE NEXT GAME".
Anybody that came near the goal after that risked going to the hospital.
The laker's started hammering people and Boston was giving it right back.
Nobody wehinned about anything.

True.........Don't even mention those Bad Boys from Detroit that help develop Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls into being "rough and tough." Man, Detroit used to beat folks mentally and physically! :emlaugh:

Any team today playing those Detroit team's would win by default if they play today.
Every player on Detroit's team would be ejected by the end of the 1st QTR.

Detroit had Scottie Pippin so scared, he started getting migraine headaches.
Rodman and Lambeer used to put that fella in the 4th row on the regular.

From the photos below, I see why Kobe did what he did. Artest is a thug and a liar.

Jayrob.
I'm with the Lakers but all that showed me was two big arse guy's fighting for a position/rebound.:D

I know basketball in theory is a "no contact sport" but come on.
You gonna get banged up.

A picture's worth a thousand words. I see you only typed eight.:smh:

Thank you, bruh. That's all I was say'n.

First off, Jaytard....if you notice...4 of those pics look like they were taken within a span of less than 2 or 3 seconds, if that (couldn't have been no more than that, seeming as they weren't down there in that position that long to begin with). They have cameras that shoot that fast....so, keep your "cameras don't do that" comments to yourself.

I won't split hairs...but, most of those look the same, anyway. Check the crowds positioning, person by person, in each.....

At any rate...those pics look like any other pics of two players fighting for position for a rebound. Two men down there...one infront boxing out (which is why Kobe was low enough to rest an elbow on his neck, in the first place)...the other guy trying to get the rebound...both while looking up for the ball. Kobe threw an extra elbow that was high...and, it sparked an Artest reaction.

How do you not see this?...:retard:...

Watch the video, Kobe swinger. It's 2009, if pics are worth 1,000...then, video must be worth a cool Million. Now, admit Kobe can be cheap and give me my change.

Dude suck off. Dude clearly had his elbow on the back of Kobe's neck. I betcha Kobe's elbow got it off of him. If you're gonna block somebody out, put your hand on their waist or back, not on their head or neck and if you're gonna elbow somebody in the back of the neck, be prepared to get elbowed back. Kobe did what he had to do.

Wow...This is sad...:smh:

And you're from Texas, so what's your point?

Coaches don't instruct players to put elbows on the back of somebody's neck and on the side of his head to block out.

I don't condone what Kobe did, but I understand why he did it.

Come on guys... ya'll can't see that Ron Ron's forearm is constantly on Kobe's neck in that play? Take off the rose colored glasses (pun intended).

They see it. It's clear as day. The Kobe haters (as usual) and Rocket fans are out in full force today. Haters and Homers.

The bottom line is this: Ron Artest fouled Kobe Bryant. The referee made the right call. Bryant responded to what Artest did with an elbow. The referees should have reviewed what happened and called a tech on Kobe for that dumb shat. Shouldn't have hit the man in the chest like that. End of story.

I remember when Kobe hit Ginobili after shooting a jumper a year or two ago.

How can Artest get suspended?

I did not think he should have, and he did not.

Yeah......

Still, how do you get a foul called on you when you take one to the throat.....

Game was too close and Stern texted Stu Jackson and told him to get those officials in line to make them calls against the Rockets so they couldn't get a win.

As strange as it may sound to some, I can believe that.

That's the whole point right there. They may have made the right call with the foul on Artest, but the fact that NOTHING was called on KoMe is insane. If what KoMe did didn't warrant a foul, the league would not have come back and assessed KoMe with the flagrant-1 that they did today.

Yeah......

Please...the Lakers were up by 10 points when Ron Artest was thrown out of the game. L.A. had been the aggressors the whole night and Kobe Bryant was determined to not let his team lose.

I'm so tried of people complaining about the refs or David Stern orchestrating some elaborate scheme to determine the outcome of postseason games. It is not true.

I'm not gonna go that far. The Rox lost last night cuz Kobe came out and imposed his will in the 1st quarter. But that still doesn't mean the officiating was good.

And that's all I'm saying. They miss calls all the time. The foul was clear on Artest. I guess they could have reviewed the tapes to give Kobe a foul in-game, but Artest screwed himself with his confrontation after the fact.
