The hood did have some kinda love for him. I first remember a scene with him in one of those Cheech and Chong Movies. But when I was in the 8th grade, my peers rocked this very hard...come to think of it, even AAMU's Band, The Marching Maroon & White rocked this at halftime at an MCC and had the crowd on it's feet.

PeeWee's Big Adventure is still one of my favorite movies of all time. Back in 88 when Seaworld first opened in San Antonio, I convinced my parents to take us to see the Alamo because of Peewee. Hell, I took a pic with the bike at the Hollywood Museum just this past November.

Of course Pee Wee is an icon because of his children's show he also was a good actor in serious films as well
