now that i look more closely at the video,,,,,,, uuuuuuum, New York LOST didn't they? what's with the clowning after a loss?

That score is a final but I think the video is from pre-game. They have on their warm ups. It was probably shown during the post game show even though it was filmed pre-game. NBA players ain't putting their warm-ups back on after a game.

oh, ok, good point. so where's the coach in all of this?

Hell everybody use STEROIDS, everybody bashes heads amongst each other every now and then, hell look at Baseball look at how they act up in baseball.. Hell look at how T.O. acted up, look at how the Piston's vs. Pacers game went that time.. look how ol boy stole off on Kobe, look at how this thing with Vick, look at how this thing happened with other NFL players going to Prison and etc which were BLACK!!! ...

Yall just wanna pick a fight man, yall kno what I mean. Im not gone argue it

What did T.O. do again? How did he get in trouble with the law? What about hockey? They fight ALL the time. Dude even broke one dudes neck on a cheap shot 2 seasons ago. What about that fight in college football that happened between two schools on the same day as the Miami/FIU fight last season, but it hardly got any coverage, and you NEVER saw a video of that fight, and people are saying that it was WAY WORSE than the Miami/FIU brawl. The little leage father tackling the peewee football player. The Duke Lacross rape case. I'm not saying they did it, 'cause that chick was lying anyway, but media coverage in an alledged criminal event happening just the Mike Vick issue. Marv Albert,.

Fighting in hockey is accepted. It's apart of game, so it's nothing unusual.

That MIAMI/FIU fight received major coverage so the the CLEMSON/SOUTH CAROLINA GAME.

Was that broken neck the player got from the cheap shot accepted? Was that part of the game? I know fighting in hockey is considered part of the game, so that's why I brought up T.O. What did he do that got him in trouble with the law? Other than that scuffle with Hugh Douglass while with the Eagles (which should have remained in-house to begin with), there is nothing that should put T.O. in this category.

I understand what he is "TRYING" to say, but he is expecting every black athlete to represent the race. We should be beyond that way of thinking that one dummy can set a race back. These folks are individuals who come from their own background. I see this as the same as they try to portray the majority of people on welfare are Blacks.

Two points.

1) The grammar and spelling in this thread is beyond pathetic.

2) I'm not sure what is being depicted in that picture, but I'm sure that somebody will find a way to blame the white man. We all know that Blacks are never responsible for their behavior. And, if other people are doing it, then that makes it okay for Black people to do it.

Points well taken.

Perhaps forums like this can imbed a spell check feature. :goof:

This has to be a joke.

Another pass for the White man. What's new?
Why is fighting accepted in hockey? If someone did on the street what they do in hockey (breaking a neck, knockin out teeth, using the stick as a weapon, breaking someone's nose, blackeyes, etc), they'd be arrested on the spot and you know it.

When it's the White man doing it, they say it's just "boys being boys", but let a Black man do the same thing, then all hell breaks loose.

Yep, dat white man is sumpin ain't he? Yessiree! Always tryna keep a Black man down. Sho' is.

Black athletes are no more in trouble now than athletes have been in the past. You have just fallen for the okie doke where you believe everything you read in the media. Right now its big business to dog the black athlete. Those of us who fall for anything they hear and read think athletes are out of control....but athletes dont do anything more now than they did in the past. Newspaper publish what people want to hear about. If they did stories about all the good athletes do, there wouldnt be any trees left. But thats not what the public wants to read.

When a white athlete does something stupid, it might get covered 2 days. Its not a hot topic right now. Dont believe everything you hear. In the words of Judge Judy, if it dont make sense, its probably not true.

Because when they become multi millionaires in the sports and professions they become successful in, the HOODNESS never leaves them!

Since when have you seen a white or any other race that are involved in sports do something like that?

I don't see what you talking about.
Look's like he just hyped before entering the arena.

I get sick of people alway's using that bullshat excuse of "Fighting is part of the game" when white folks do it.
Two black men SLAP Box in the NBA and IT's all BLACK MEN THUGGS to mofo's.

Kill that crap.
You got mofo's in hockey being tried in court for thing's they do on the ice on a regular basis but a black man clowning in a tunnel for the cameras is the end all.

Save the sarcasm.

Tell us why fighting in hockey and baseball is different from fighting in the NBA.
Why are fighting in the 2 sport's where whites dominate in numbers are accepted and dismissed with sarcasm as YT holding us back.

Str8 answer please.

Man sir gram, you are really in the dark my man.........you are entitled to your opinion, and you may even have some folks that would support your point of view, but when you start to speak in absolutes and using ALL to make a point, you will always be subjected to the types of sarcasm and ridicule that you are getting in this post.

Lets just examine your initial post...you say when THEY become multi millionaires in sports and other professions the HOODness never leaves. You seem to imply that all african americans are HOOD to begin with and therefore they will remain as such regardless of what they accomplish. I guess that goes for you to, right. I mean you are black, and you are in college trying to become successful, right.

I guess you going to college didn't help your hoodness when you proclaimed that people were getting "affended". I guess next time you may want to take off your pointy hood, so that your hoodness won't show.

That's MY WHOLE point....you can't use absolutes. Cause that means that WHEN you become successful, because you ARE black (despite what your blackness if mixed with, you ARE black) that means I can expect to see YOU on the news misbehaving. Do I have this right?

Umm Ms Redd, he is French. ;)

Correction. Fighting in hockey is not accepted anymore. There was a story on the NHL actually trying to eliminate fighting from game a few years back. It all came to an end when that guy was brought up on charges for that vicious high stick that almost ended a guy's career.
We're not even going to talk about they hockey player that was playing in Atlanta and killed one of his team mates. Daniel Heatley is his name. He plays for the Ottawa Senators now.

Okay. Fair enough.

Save the sarcasm.

I'm going to type this very s l o w l y so you can understand.

In hockey, hard checking and "fighting" are considered to be parts of the game. Personally, I don't respect hockey and I don't consider it a sport. To me it is simply entertainment on the level of professional wrestling. "Fighting" is a part of their "sport" and that's the way it is.

Likewise, brawling has long been a part of baseball's tradition. Just like arguing balls and strikes. We have a little dustup and if no one is hurt then we go to our respective dugouts and continue the game. If it's more serious, then we have some ejections and suspensions and go on.

These are not excuses. There is no great "white man out to get black man" conspiracy. It's just part of the game.

If you look at the history of football and basketball, you will notice that there is no period where fighting was considered customary or normal. From the early segregated periods to today, fights have always been (and are still) sporadic and abnormal.

Different customs for very different games.
