Is there any region of the country you would give more props when it comes to rap/hip-hop than New York/east coast?

Bartram,

Just so you know, New Orleans is about to make a come back. First up ... B.G. featuring Mannie Fresh (Heart of the Streetz vol 2) First Single ... Move Around. Warning ... don't let the hook get you. It will stick in your head....."I from the Ghetto homey ... I was raised on bread and ......

If I had to give props to any one region of the country in today's hip hop, New York wouldn't be it. New York is so far behind in hip hop right now that it's not even funny. Outside of 50 Cents, NY is slumping BIG TIME! Sort of reminiscent of the early 90's, when NY was run by B.I.G., and The Wu Tang Clan, when the West Coast was making it's claim as hip hop's best.

Right now the South is hot, with Houston doing the dayum thing, and that's saying alot seeing that Houston is rolling, and Scarface isn't the one out in front. 2005 was the year of H-Town, and that train may not be slowing down no time soon.

Atlanta is still Atlanta with TI, Young Geezy, and Luda, David Banner is repping the Sip real hard, and with Juvenile, Lil Wayne holding it down for the NO, and BG, and Fresh collabing, it's hard to argue against the South right now.

NICE
