Racism in Russia and Where's the American Left???

Bet you won't hear the American liberals/dems(esp blacks) complaining about this because it's not AMERICA/BUSH. IT'S SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST RUSSIA. (,, oh, and a mixed couple, so i know that knocks black liberal/democrat outcry out right there,, just like Nicole getting her throat slashed like a hog at a hog killing.)

Lives of dark-skinned foreigners in Russia blighted by racism
By HENRY MEYER (Associated Press Writer)

MOSCOW - As a black man in Russia, life for Gabriel Anicet Kotchofa means always being home by 9 p.m., never using public transit and hearing abusive remarks when he goes out in public with his white wife.

http://my.earthlink.net/article/int?guid=20060505/445acdc0_3421_13345200605051799930541 (sorry, don't know if you can pull up this link, but do a google on the article. interesting read.)

where's Jessie, John Lewis and Al Sharpton? Are they going to go to Russia and dramatize this blatant racism and call Puttin out? (once again, rhetorical)

heck i didn't know they had native/citizen black populations in Russia, Japan, North Korea.

...and I personally would not want to here them. Last time I checked I lived in the U.S.

Lets get our own shat together first.

Bart ---- This is funny --- I rasied the Darfur issue and barely got a response. You think people care about racism in Russia?

now hold on,,,, when there was APARTHIDE in South Africa, well gee we was running around DEMANDING that the U.S. divest in South Africa. When there was genocide going on in Somolia we was all for CLINTON/U.S. POLICING that situation (never mind any other time we advocate that the U.S. military is worse than the devil's angels for crying out loud). The list could go on of situations involving blacks and the rights of blacks outside this country that we are quick to champion depending on the particular political angle and expediency of the situation. I mean, as you say, last I checked we was all living in the U.S. then and we didn't "have our own shat together" then (during for example when what was going on in South Africa was going on and Somolia) if you let the bood liberal/dem blacks today tell it, so clearly we have a situation here of RACISM. Why aren't we BLASTING the Russians? Why isn't the (liberal) media pounding on the Russians to reform? If it was the U.S. it would be a world crisis.

nope, these people flip-flop more than a dayum caught fish thrown on the river bank,, so much as to make me :vomit:

they are such PODIUM POUNDERS on "rights" and "justice" and "equality" and "power to the people" and all this other bull crap they would have you think,,, but truth is, it just depends on the situation and the politics and who's in office here in the U.S. and if there's any political advantage to be gained in a charge of "racism"!

It's not so much about all the race-bating now days, it's more about getting/keeping people elected because if people were TRUELY CONCERNED about racism it wouldn't matter where it was. i mean gee i'm sure the good radical liberal/dems here could readily quote the, "an injustice to one somewhere is an injustice to all everywhere" or whatever that quote was,,,, oh but NOW all of a sudden, it's like the "we got more important thangs to worry about" card i heard in another thread huh? I MEAN COME ON!!!!!!

Bart,

Come on now, are you not familiar with Russian history. This is not a surprise. What do you think the Chechens and the Russians conflict is all about?

What do you expect the black liberal leadership to do? There is racism in most countries against dark skinned people. We have our own problems here.

First of all Bart comparing Russia to South Africa, Somolia or any country where genocide is happening is outrageous, first of all Blacks in South Africa we're and still are to some extent a surpress majority where blacks we're continually Jailed (Manadela) or Killed (Biko) for asking for their rights in a society that otherwise claimed to be free. As far the genocide in central and west Africa the USA was far behind most first world countries in it's responds.
The USA had a responibilty to help since we are "liberators" and "spreaders of freedom through out the world". You black republicans are funny you hitch your political wagon to party that is controled by people (Conservtive So called Christian) who consistanly have sent the messege they don't like or want you in there party, but you want throw Stones at liberals have you ever heard the saying "Sweep around your own front door". I'm a Reagan/Bush 1 democrat but even I see that W and Cheney and Carl Rove are the same as Jackson/Sparpton the all use wedge issues to divide people and keep them from talking about real issues like education, healthcare, taxes, enviroment etc... Besides racism is learned behavior if the Russians picked up Macdonald's and Levis why wouldn't they pick up another American insitution like racism.

Genocide vs Racism.... come on man....:look:

Even still I am not big on the U.S. getting involved in any of these conflicts when we aren't taking care of the conflicts at home. Its almost like some of the animal activists who seem like they'll run over homeless people in the street to save a beached dolphin.

Sometimes other parts of the world really need the help but I feel there is a huge problem with priorities in this country. And the biggest priority problem is the partisan cheerleading that you just displayed. Folk act like this is a football game or something. Lets try to focus on truths and doing whats right rather than which side did what and who can win more votes.
