Kelly is expected to turn himself in to authorities sometime Thursday afternoon. He is then prepared to post a $750,000 bond.

Oh well...he's been arrested. It's all up to the courts now. Hopefully the truth will come to the light pretty soon.

Now if we can only get Father Chester arrested....

For the record...he wasn't charged with statutory rape. He was charged with child porno.

"The charge is that there's a young lady under the age of 18 on that tape and there isn't. That's simply the stance that I'm taking. We're going to court and we'll disprove that she was underage," said Kelly's attorney, Ed Genson.

Genson said the girl's family members also have denied that she is featured on the video. He would not comment on the age of the girl or whether Kelly was the man on the tape. Previously Kelly has denied that he's the man shown in the video.

Without the cooperation from the girl...unless the state has a tight case against him, he'll walk on all charges!!!
 
Defend his arse all you want to, I say burn his ass @ the stake. Just because candy is put in front of you doesn't mean that you have to eat it if you know that it's the WRONG thing to do. I guess some folx were born and reared to do WRONG of their own free will. :rolleyes:

Chicago attorneys Ed Genson and John Touhy, and the Rev. James Meeks, Kelly's spiritual adviser, were present at the hearing and were expected to speak at a news conference this afternoon.

Kelly has denied he is the man in the video, "Even though I don't believe any of these charges are warranted, I'm grateful that I will have a chance to establish the truth about me in a court of law," Kelly said Wednesday in a statement.

Genson said the girl on the tape isn't a minor and he'll prove that in court. "The charge is that there's a young lady under the age of 18 on that tape and there isn't," Genson said.

Cook County State's Attorney Richard Devine said the video was made in November 1997 or later and that the girl in it was born in September 1984.

Now how do you use a defense that says the girl in the tape was not underage and also thats not me in the video.

And how do you know when the tape was actually made? You can put any date you want to on a recording, I don't know how technology can pinpoint a date.

What do you mean unless they have an airtight case against him? I take it you didn't see the chicago police on BET last night. They said themselves that the FBI confirmed that the tape hadn't been doctored, and that it WAS him AND the girl in the tape. I don't care how good of a lawyer he has, I doubt very seriously if he walks.
 
Fox 4 News also ran a segment that said that Elvis was still alive, but that doesn't mean that he's alive. Rodney King got his azz kicked and it was on tape but those officers still got acquitted. That tape isn't going to hold water unless they get the girl to admit that it was her...which so far she isn't.
