Question for Teachers or Parents on here?

One of mine needs military school already...and he's 5!:lmao:

LOL! The montessori school seems to let the child learn freely and learn things by sight and touch. I'm still debating on this Montessori thing. My son needs some structure also. Right now, he's into everything.

:smh: Pay back is a mug

I know.
I'm already getting payback. Seth has my mannerisms. :smh: That is one determined, willful, hard-headed boy who will take consequences with risks. I love the fight and determination in him--- makes for a good MAN. But boy, it's hard trying to discipline when it's just him to be the way he is--- like me and my daddy.

Trust me...I understand your situation! You have NO idea how much I understand.

Seth does that enough at home with touching stuff he shouldn't.
I don't need montessori messing up my discipline methods and confusing my child by making him think he can come home and get back to "exploring" our the TV/computer/remote controls (he's an electronic gadget baby).

Emmanuel is an electronics baby also! This boy will pick up the remote and point it at the T.V. and change the channels. Sometimes he will just walk up to the T.V. and turn it on/off. He will start typing on our laptop and knows how to plug the power-cord into the wall. Kids watch everything. That's why you have to be careful what you say and do around your kids.

Seth is the same way.
He turns the TV on as soon as we come in the house. He turns if off when he knows we're leaving. He gets the remote and changes channels and climbs in your lap when you're sitting at the computer and likes to touch keyboards and turn the monitor on and off (which gets on my nerves).
He loves to play with cell phones when you leave them around where he can pick them up.
And then when both hubby and me are out the room, that's his chance to change channels, turn up volumes, turn on the DVD, etc. ANYTIME he sees both me and hubby in the same room, he runs to another room so he can do his dirt. Guess he's thinking: They look occupied; they're in the same room TOGETHER, so that means I can go in a bedroom or living room and do damage! So he "explores" enough at home.

Or they will be at the Kid's Museum where the cell phones were there so the kids could press a button and talk to the Sesame Street characters. Instead one child :read: ended up on the network and was listening to ringtones!!! But I have no idea who that child was!:noidea:

We have 4 TVs with a DirectTV connection to each one. We are watching some TV at my house everyday. Good shows and bad shows. I don't have any HBOs/Max/Showtime and such.

If it ain't TV, then we are on the INTERNET. If it ain't the INTERNET, then we are playing VIDEO GAMES. If it ain't that, than we are outside playing.

Ain't none of us fat, unhealthy, or dumb.

Alrighty Frat!

I am fat, but my kid is FAR from fat and we are healthy and I am of course a genius and I have 6 TVs in my house with every movie and sports package and only 2 of us live there full time! I am a TV freak and turnt out real good and my kid is doing great.

Slim Thug and Drive By need a WARDEN! :lmao:

I have 5 tv's with direct tv and the total package. We really don't watch too much on Tv because of our schedule.
This summer was the first time I let them stay home alone 10 and 12 so I am sure more TV was watch;

When school starts they barely get to watch because of homework, study, football, cheerleading. By the time we get home, eat, bathe, go to bed

Those of you speaking about that 2nd child, I know what you are going through.

My daughter is 10 and the second child and everyday is somewhat of a challenge, she is strong willed, and stubborn, but I have ways to handle it.

Honestly, I don't know if that is such a bad thing. The kids will be working with computers when they get to school. I don't want my kids to lack confidence when it comes to this area. My boys know how to operate all the electronic stuff in our home.

My boys each have digital cameras, hand held video games and watch tv. Like Sperms house, there are no dummies here and no fat folks. We also are active in things outside the house. Cycling, soccer, tennis and yard work. The key is BALANCE!

As for the second child thing. I like to call it "God's Sense of Humor". Lawd knows he is getting a good laugh at me and the wife.

4 TV with comcast all up and in through them. My kids are fine. They don't watch any and everything. just a few channels. Disney,Noggin,Cartoon Network and Disney Family. They love the Food Network and sometimes they get to watch VH1 soul..

One is the top student in her class/grade. Tested gifted and did the best in the school. The other one is smart as a wip can memorize anything she hears and she is a handful. :smh::smh:

They ride bikes, aftercare at the YMCA(swimming, running, playing) and will be into Cheerleading and golf this fall.

Actually they only watch tV for about three hours a day if that. 45 minutes int he morning while we getting dressed.(Sister, Sister) and 6-8 at night. Sometimes 7-8 cause we don't leave the Y until 6:45...
