Growing Greatness

The newly created Prairie View A&M Foundation will support a continuing legacy of excellence at Prairie View A&M University. The Foundation is dedicated to securing and stewarding gifts in support of teaching, research, service and athletics at the 133-year-old historically black university. A focused approach toward alumni and friends gifts can help the university build upon its enduring legacy.

GROW GREATNESS THROUGH GIVING

Donors will have the opportunity to help attract the best students, prominent faculty and researchers, and to support capital needs on the campus.

On the heels of the completion of the University’s Capital Campaign that successfully raised over $30 million, dedicated alumni accepted the challenge to finish what was started in that campaign. The PVAMF Board of Trustees has been educated on alumni giving, strengthening endowments and the specific challenges of state-supported universities.

Through discussions with the University, TAMU System and alumni, the Foundation has elected to accept as its first major capital project, the building of a multi-functional, multi-purpose and utilitarian athletic complex. Over the past 5 years, PVAMU has successfully developed and improved the athletic program through additional scholarships and first-class coaching staffs and athletes. A multi-functional athletic complex will compliment the athletic program and support the growing population of students on campus with educational, social and cultural events. It will provide friends and families with a spacious venue while visiting our beautiful campus.

With this newly created Prairie View A&M Foundation, will this mean the "Marching Storm" will get funds to travel?

Man, we're trying to build an entirely revamped and new athletic complex. Our band travelling isn't on the immediate radar, I'm sure. :D

Good job PV!!!
