Prayers for Dr. Greggs ...

I received this note today. Prayers to the Greggs Family.

Southernites,

I ran into Collette Greggs on Sunday at the SU/GSU baseball game and she informed me that Doc had an accident in which he broke his arm. Unfortunately, he required surgery on his arm and had an adverse reaction to the anestesia. The result has placed him in a catatonic state. Collette and the family are at the hospital (Our Lady of the Lake), pretty much around the clock and she says he isn't able to recognize anyone.

Prayers are being solicited for the Greggs family that they remain strong and that Doc is able to come through this and be his old self soon.

Hope Dr. Greggs gets better, had a long talk with him when he visited Grambling in 2009 and worked Grambling's Band on the National Anthem to prepare for the combined performance of GSU and SU bands for the Bayou Classic. We treated him well.

Lord, please restore Dr. Greggs 110 %. Touch his mind and body. We know through prayer all things are possible. Amen.

I spoke to a couple of (very) Old-School Jukes and the word is that Doc is doing much better and relaxing comfortably. If he's not home yet, he should be very soon.
