It is FOOLISH to actually give this ABBREVIATED spring football season the same kind of weight as a typical season when there is NOTHING typical about this season. One team has a seven-game schedule, some have six-game schedules and others have five-game schedules. Jackson State is going to play its third game of the season today, while Valley will be playing its first due to pandemic-related reasons. Alcorn, the defending conference champion, isn't playing at all. Alabama A&M had to scramble at the 11th hour just to play a game against S.C. State. How in the hell can anyone in their right mind truly hold coaches with typical expectations during an atypical season. But this is to be expected of fans (short for "fanatics").

I will give the Southern folks credit for having the foresight to give Odums and other coaches an automatic extension because even they know they couldn't hold the coaches fully accountable for once in a lifetime disaster that has killed over half a million people in this country alone.

Lol! Now Kenn you know the day Grambling takes this mindset, we become like everybody else. Our destiny and legacy are the standard bearers.

Besides, we are losing because of systemic flaws coming from our head coach. We have three consecutive SWAC losses. This is not Grambling football. We lose the BC having a 21-3 lead with two RBs averaging over 6 yds / carry (punishing the Jags). We lose to J-State giving up 6.3 yds / carry and close to 300 yds. The prior week Edward Waters gave nearly 2yds fewer per carry. Yesterday it felt like we had as many punts as points against PV.

fobbs is not a good coach. we won because of Dougs recruits and Dooley. Fobbs has been below average since those players and that one coach have left the program.

That’s funny cause Doug Williams was 1-12 2012-2013 season. Fobbs is 12-10 in 2018-2019 2nd place in West. If he wasn’t a good coach he did what Doug Williams couldn’t do and that ultimately got the beloved Doug fired. Let’s not forget the ugly between the school and Doug. Simply put teams have down years just like any other sport. It’s Covid he may have a bunch of transfers that can’t play cause of the transfer rules. But you guys want him fired. Who are you going to hire? Rex Ryan?

When fobbs gets canned or turns in his letter of resignation there will be many applicants that will kill to be the head coach at Grambling.

simply put he has not got it done. And I’m not just talking bout this spring season. I along with other Grambling alums have seen the issues that’s causing this team to lose games prior to this spring season. I wanted him fired in 2018. And to be honest I never wanted him hired. But that’s neither here nor there.

fobbs can’t coach. His staff is incompetent and shows no passion for winning. If you would have seen the body language from the team and staff on Saturday you wouldn’t be defending his sorry ass.

my stance with fobbs won’t ever change.
