I'm not hating it's just reality kinfolk.....he started out with a good career but the organizational structures of the teams he has been with hindered to promote other players.

Re: Poor TJACK....

I think he'll fit right in with arena football.
Naw...arena football requires quick decision making...thats not TJacks forte. He needs to be in a wide open offense on a wide open field where he can run and throw the ball 25 yards in the endzone.

Re: Poor TJACK....

How about this. I recognize when the facts are being ignored in an argument and I could use them but it won't matter. If you're married you know what I'm talking about. But let's go through that exercise so I can in you're eyes be an atypical "black".

hey, tjack led a team to a division title and the playsoffs all while playing for one of the worst coaches in the nfl!
hey, as a starter, tjack has a better record than Kolb, but I bet your a lot higher on Kolb than tjack!
tjack worked out at the univ of minn during the off-season/lock-out and all reports were that he looked sharp.

now do with that what you will. I believe I already know what you're going to say, evidenced by my original statement, but I promise I won't write it off as being just, "typical black folks hate." I'll regard it as a statement from an individual that can't be defined by his color.

With the defense the vikings had all he had to do was not muck up... kinda like the ravens used to be. But if you want to take that as "led them to a division title" go ahead. The dude isnt good, period.

Re: Poor TJACK....

I think it is premature to judge any player right now, considering there were no mini-camps and OTAs in the offseason. That means less time to work with coaches, teammates or study film. Jackson was in Seattle camp for a week-and-a-half before taking the field last Thursday? Not going to look all world with a new team who are missing starters all while having limited practice time.

This is not baseball or basketball or hockey where a cat can join a team with limited practice time or familiarity with the coaching staff and teammates and play up to a certain standard.

Good point!

Let's revisit this thread in Week 6.

Re: Poor TJACK....

Why do we keep making excuses for TJACK.... Is it because he is from a SWAC school? If he was from a flagship state school even the Bama State folks would be drilling him right now.

Not surprised by this..they do the same with Obama on here..

Re: Poor TJACK....

Mat schaub went 2-5 for 20 yards does he suck in needs to be out the league, in arena or the cfl?

But Matt Schaub also led the league in passing during his career. He gets the benefit of the doubt in the eyes of many rather than Jackson.

True! Just about any white QB gets the benefit of the doubt over Jackson! The media sure hates QB's from HBCU's! McNair had to play beat up to get a little respect, Doug Williams led his team to the NFC Title Game and could not get a contract extension. But bums like Grossman, Beck, Alex Smith can get chance after chance after chance, and they think it is ok, but with TJack walks on the field, they thank satan has walked out on the field.

Yes, TJack has had some awful games, but what about bums like Chad Hennin, Joe Flaco, who would be nothing without the Baltimore D that has awful games and don't even get half of the flac TJack gets? Let's give him some games and then we can judge.

I never got the sense that the media didn't like Steve McNair. He seemed to be lauded for his skill and toughness. Oh, Joe Flacco does get criticism. He gets it from press in Baltimore and he even gets it from members of that defense as well.

Grossman got tremendously criticized during his time in Chicago. Especially the season the Bears went to the Super Bowl. Super Bowl Media Day was no friend of Grossman. That guy was called the worst starting quarterback in the history of the Super Bowl. And this was said before the Bears squared off against the Colts.

The next season he lost his starting job to Kyle Orton and then signed with Houston to be the third string QB before landing in Washington last year.

Alex Smith had a chance to fail this first few years in the league because he was the No.1 pick. Now Smith continuing to get opportunities boggles the mind.

I thought Chad Henne was going to be better than he was. But it just hasn't worked out for the guy. Also there are not a lot of good QBs to go around these days.

That's why Smith, Grossman and these other guys are getting extended opportunities in the league. Have you seen the double-trouble of bad behind Peyton Manning? If he can't play, the Colts are picking in the top 5 in the draft next year.

That's why Jackson is in Seattle, Kolb in Arizona and McNabb in Minnesota. The pickings are slim.

Not to mention that the 49ers are bring Culpepper back. :shame:

You make some good points! But it took McNair years to get the little respect he deserves.

Yes Flacco gets criticized by especially Ray Lewis, but when it was TJack in Minnesota, it was huge news and that he had his chance and need to be replaced, instead of getting him to work on the things he don't do well. But it was Flacco, so give him not another chance, but chances with the Superbowl Defense the Ravens have and he one the main reasons that they don't make it to the big one. With that defense the Ravens have, they should have been to the Superbowl at least once. But remember, if that was TJack, get another QB because satan needs to go.

The ESPN Smucks give Hennin and Alex Smith chance after chance, but TJack, he needs to go because he is a bum, Josh Beck, Rex Grossman are bigger bums than TJack. They make it sound so racial and I do not listen to it, especially the so-called show that stupid people listen to; The Mike and Mike Show. Then you have the blacks sit there and say nothing because they want their stupid job, but have plenty to say when it is time TJack messes up and he does mess up, that is why he is in Seattle, even though the chance was not like Hennin, Flacco, where they were not on short leases like he was.

As for Grossman, he goes to Washington and he could jump start his career, but when TJack was signed by Seattle, they laughed and spoke failure before he even stepped on the field.

Let's all give TJack a fair and equal chance like we do the other QB's.

Maybe some of the guys you mentioned just have better agents representing them. TJack has been given several chances to succeed and hasn't.

Re: Poor TJACK....

Some of ya'll kill me TJack has never been given a decent shot to be successful, and after one PRESEASON GAME of them just coming out of the lock out and him spending 10 friggin days with a new team he sucks? GTHOHWTB How about ya'll trying to be successful in a situation that nobody fully puts trust or faith in you that they would rather beg an 83-year old quarterback to come in and play, and even when you get to play all they want you to do is hand off to Adrian Petersen. I will just be glad when he gets a decent chance to play and make mistakes WITHOUT LOOKING OVER HIS SHOULDER, and shut alot of you crabs in a bucket up.

Re: Poor TJACK....

After watching most of the NFL preseason teams and the new QBs...its easy to say that TJack was the worst preseason QB so far (for whatever reason). Mallet, CamNewton, Locker, even Ponder looked like professional QBs. TJack looked like he never saw a football field before. Insert excuse here (....) but the guy just looked bad. The rookies were better than him, so that "he only practiced 10 days" excuse is meaningless.

I hope he picks it up, but looking at his history he probably wont.
