Since Plies flooded the airwaves with his sex-driven lyrics on tracks such as “Beckyâ€￾ and “Bust It Babyâ€￾, the rapper has come off as being more than rated R as he has dubbed himself the realist. Being the realist, he has been one not to bite his tongue and say things exactly how he feels.

It was reported that before performing “Bust It Baby,â€￾ the rapper saw a fan that looked to be too young to be hearing those particular lyrics. As a result, the rapper gave the girl $1,000 from his pocket and asked her to leave and have her parents take her some place more appropriate.

If that's not a curveball, then what else could it be?

The rapper has been one to show his charitable side in other instances as he gave his chain to a girl during a basketball game some time ago, but this action is much more than just making a girl's day.

Yall fell to realize that street cats will help you before uppity cats will anyday. They all aren't bad, most are just trying to survive everyday life.

So What... the lil girl still know what a buss-it baby is and she knows what becky means

she knows every lyric and is probably somewhere spending that 1k on her bussit baby or the guy she is giving becky to.

I'm not impressed. Plies is still garbage and his music is straight TRASH!
There is nothing positive about his music.

That's ALL on her parents for allowing her to listen. Plies did his part in making sure he did not perform that music in front of her.
 
Rap is pure entertainment. Plies may talk about being a "goon" and what not, but it's all a facade. I've seen Plies on a few occasions in the Tampa Bay area, where he now resides.........this dude has a Bachelor's degree from the Univ. of South Florida, so he's got some sense....at least enough to know the value of an education. In his hometown of Ft. Myers he catches a lot of flack from the locals because they know firsthand that he has never lived the image he portrays in his music. And that's more sad than anything. So what he did to the little girl doesn't surprise me at all. Plus he's been known to throw out money at shows when he performs the song "Plenty Money".

I'm sorry, but :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Maybe it's because I don't have kids and I'm not really conscious of his lyrical content (when it comes to some HH/Rap songs, I'm more into the beat), but I actually kinda like Plies. :noidea: :lol: But I think that's good that he was aware of someone that young being out in the audience and did something about it......shid, most artist wouldn't give a dayum. :smh:

Besides, he can do that.....cause he got plenty monaaaaaay!! :lol:

As far as him catching heat from the locals, it goes back to what you just said- it's entertainment and all a facade. I guess that's why I don't take it all that seriously.

Yes he is.

He does have some songs that make you think like Driving My Momma Crazy-as one kid said that song made him think about his behavior-he keeps getting into trouble and Momma is always there to bail him out. He said if it wasn't for Momma, he would be sitting in a jail cell or the grave before age 15.

He does have those sex songs and that is what attracts kids to him much like Too Short back in the day. To really understand him listen to all his songs and you'll get a better understanding of him. The media will showcase those sex songs but the better ones are on the cd.

He might be able to control what those parents let that girl listen to at home, but he can control who is at that concert.

Plies is just doing what so many others have done-FAKE IT. He could probably be another Lupe, Common or Pharrell but since the hood won't support them. he has to go with the style that is acceptable. Heck we're starting to see that change in Bow Wow and Soulja Boy too.

The news is looking for RATINGS and magzines are looking for MONEY. Blog sites are looking for HITS.

A story like this won't get any of that. The link where I got this from there were NO COMMENTS.

Folks have to learn to put out the good that you do out on your own. He has websites-list what you do for the community, programs that you have that help kids and so on.

Because if they have time to post videos of them smoking, beating up folks or bragging about getting arrested-they can put up positive stuff.

Many won't do it because they are scared of losing that thug cred.

Sometimes you got to do it yourself. It's not bragging.

Look at what the WWE is doing-guest hosts of Raw-Bob Barker, Al Sharpton, Big Ben, NASCAR and others are on there promoting their charities that MAINSTREAM media has ignored.
 
Yea. I think Plies is a RN. But ion't care for his musik. But dude did the right/good thing.

And on this facase thing, Most of the rappers that you think grew up in the suburbs or sumthing, are the actual ones that came from that "GOONISH" lifestyle (IE. Common)

the radio only plays his "pussy" songs.... there are only about 2 or 3 on each album..... He's stated before he doesnt even like doing the songs, but thats whats making him money....

this is my favorite Plies song... 100 years..

2 Live Crew had completely different versions for the radio...

Along with Ice Cube, NWA, etc.

I'm just not that impressed with what Plies did I guess b/c the lyrics to his songs played on the radio are just as graphic and bad...minus the cussing.

If he was really concerned, come out with different versions/cleaner lyrics.

Same for Gucci (no way "Wasted" should be played on the radio), and whoever made that "LOL/smileyface" song...I can't even get through the whole song b/c of the lyrics.

Yeah...the artist may/may not get to pick which songs get played on the radio, but he/she knows the lyrics going out there.
