Piggy Backing Off Buckwheat's Thread....Children

Well personally....I don't want any children. I have no desire to be anyone's father. I just want to be the good uncle/godparent etc. I do know that my wife wants them, and I am sure that we will have at least one......and I would want to know the sex. Hell if I have to have one, then at least I hope to have a boy!

Are you talking about science or are you talking about technology?

Anyway, I don't see how it has defeated "one of the greatest surpries on earth" when you don't have to know if the baby is a boy or girl?

If I ever have children, I'm not sure if I will want to know. Breastfeeding sounds interesting when I hear of the benefits. I have been to many showers and know not to buy much until thereafter.

:lmao: at Catdaddy putting the baby in just socks and onesies. They grow so fast and only need to leave the house to go to the doctor and maybe church early on.

I wanted to know with my oldest, so I found out.

With the twins, I thought there was a problem. The thought of twins never entered my mind until I could see them on the screen.

However, there was only going to be one surprise there, if any, because one of those babies was clearly a boy. The other one was more discreet, I guess you'd say ...

If I EVER get pregnant, I want to know the sex of my child. That way, I can start preparing for his/her arrival(clothes, toys, the neccessities, etc).

Technology...what I mean is years ago people never knew what they were having until the baby made the appearance...

Seth has an aunt who buys him those expensive name-brand shoes and clothes. Seth had baby Jordans when he was a newborn through 3-months. Now he has Nikes and Pumas and Baby Gap clothes--- all from Aunt Crystal.

I ain't buying that type of stuff (at least not those shoes) when he's going to grow out of it in a matter of months. I have no problem with Wal-Mart/Target.

I buy my nieces expensive clothes only because I know the parents won't...that's the role of the aunt and uncles...lol...it all makes raising a child fun.

Better not buy my boys expensive stuff. But that money in the college fund. The kids grow out of the clothes so fast. Every time the weather changes my boys have to get allllllll new clothes.

We do not buy Wal-Mart clothes for them, but we are also not shopping at Macy's, Foley's or Dillards either.

I put my son in whatever I want him in. It also doesn't hurt that he has aunts and godparents that buy him expensive shoes and clothes. He has the new Carmelo Anthonys. Last fall he had the Lebron James and Michael Vick sneakers.

I don't see anything wrong w/shopping at those stores, for your kids, cd...but hey, to each his/her own. As long as you can afford those type of clothing, for your children, that's your business.

Now, I don't agree w/purchasing expensive items for babies, b/c babies grow too fast and they won't get but maybe one wearing out of them. It's just a waste of money, to me.

We were blessed as far as clothes and diapers for dang near the first year and then some. I had family, co-workers, friends, and even internet friends sending clothes left and right. One even sent coupons for milk. My father-in-law hit us up with 2-3 boxes of diapers from Sam's club. I was very, very blessed. We didn't have to spend much the first year. We bought the bedroom stuff. The bedding was a gift from my sister. All the clothes, onsies, sleepers, and even shoes were gifts to my child. I couldn't thank God enough. Then when she started taking store-bought milk...we didn't spend much because I was nursing her.

We started feeling the hit last year when she was 1.5---daycare and pull-ups. Now she is potty trained so we are feeling some relief from the pull-ups. THANK GOD! Hee hee!

I bought Walmart, Target, Macy's, Foley's, Dillard's, Penny's, and lately Gymboree now that I know how their sales work, and I have $75 in Gym Bucks to spend on clothes. So I have her easter and some gear pretty much paid for.

Ya gotta know how to shop the sales!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do what you do.

But at that age, they dont know what they are wearing on their feet.

Payless fits just like NIKES. :D

oh Sonny, don't get it twisted now...I'm a single Mother, on a budget, so trust me, when I say I shop at payless, walmart and any other so-called (cheap) store. I'm all about saving and pinching pennies, but I do splurge on my son, at times too. I shop a lot of sales at the Dillard's & Macy's type stores.

btw, Macy's has the best sales ever...you should try it. You'll find some really nice things in there for your kids.

He may not know but I do. I don't shop at Payless.

When I have kids I want to know what the deal is. I'm hoping for all boys because karma is a mug. For all my wanting to be pimp days if I had daughters I would go crazy.

Yeah, it ain't no joke!
I mostly did nothing but breastfeed in Seth's first 3 months, and it saved a WHOLE LOT on spending money for formula.

We just bought a case (6 tall cans) of formula, and it was close to $200. :smh:

Crit!!
Six cans to a case $200.00? :retard:
Dang!!
Four bottles of CROWN to a case < $200.00 :flippy:
