DA who didn't charge Sandusky missing since 05'

It is strange that Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar never prosecuted Jerry Sandusky on child-rape charges 13 years ago, some speculate, because Gricar was known for being fiercely independent and hard on crime.

But it is even stranger that we cannot ask Gricar why Sandusky was not put behind bars because the tough-as-nails district attorney disappeared in 2005. And though he was declared dead July of this year, his body has never been found.

"People ask why Ray did not prosecute, and I have no problem saying, because he clearly felt he didn't have a case for a 'successful' prosecution," Tony Gricar, Ray Gricar’s nephew , told The Patriot-News.

I remember when this happen and with all that's going on I did a little research. Some real isht is about to kick-off (pardon the pun) in happy valley now.

Source: Mike McQueary halted assault

A source familiar with the state investigation of child sexual-assault allegations against Jerry Sandusky tells ESPN's Tom Rinaldi that Mike McQueary stopped Sandusky's alleged rape of a boy as young as 10 years old that McQueary witnessed at a shower at the Penn State practice facility in 2002.

The source characterized McQueary, a key witness in the case, as "credible" and "consistent" in describing the events of the alleged attack to investigators.

McQueary, a Penn State wide receivers coach who was placed on administrative leave Friday, also told a friend in an email that he stopped the alleged rape and discussed it with police.

Paterno Knows Everything

A former child-abuse victim himself, former football grad assistant Matt Paknis believes Joe Paterno knew about Jerry Sandusky’s alleged sexual abuse against children years ago.

Paknis was a graduate assistant on the Nittany Lions football staff in 1987 and 1988. He says Sandusky exhibited questionable behavior towards the players back then.


As a childhood victim of sexual abuse, he said he remembered thinking how inappropriate it was when he saw Sandusky tickle and pinch little boys during football camps, sometimes putting them in headlocks.


“I thought it was a boundary issue, more than anything else,†Paknis said.


Paknis described Paterno’s rule over the Penn State campus as absolute. “I think he had more power in the state of Pennsylvania than anybody.â€
When asked about the possibility that Paterno could not be aware of reports on Sandusky’s behavior Paknis said it was “impossible.â€


“Joe knows everything,†he said.

The Today Show reported this morning that Joe Paterno transferred ownership of his home from his name to his wife's name in July of this year. He basically "sold" the house to his wife for $1. Yes, one dollar. Many people speculate that this was a pre-emptive move to keep from losing his home in a lawsuit. Paterno however, explained that it was just a part of estate planning.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmm . . . . .

Oh you already know his attorney's told him to give up all his assets to his peeps if he wants to have something. Because you know the lawsuits are coming.

Because he's Catholic? What the hell does that have to do with anything? I'm Catholic so I guess I'd protect pedophilia? If a child of mine, neice or nephew was "messed" with by my church's priest.... dude you can't put those two together.

LOL @ Cee. Hell it goes beyond money. POWER! Like Barry Switzer said and he should know. LOL. You don't spend that many years on a coaching staff together and not know something about each other. Like he said, the whole staff knew. Not just Joe Pa. Everybody. Tom Bradley been on that staff for 33 years. But said he didn't know. We all know that is BS. Hell we knew what teachers were fugging other teachers in HS. LOL. You don't keep too much of that kind of stuff secret. Especially being around folks that long. You see or speculate on something.

Joe Pa was just like some of the old school Catholics (Not all Catholics, so C-Leb don't come get me. LOL). Just turned a blind eye like some did when those things about the Priests did come to light. He probably thought those poor kids were just as sick as Sandusky. You know how some old folks think strange like that. Plus these were at risk kids. Kids nobody was concerned about. Had this happened to one of the elite Penn State alums kid it would have taken cared of years ago. I am actually waiting for that bombshell to drop.

Anyhoo...at the end of the day everyone there knew include Joe Pa. However....Joe Pa is not going to jail and folks will be mad...again. :smh: He did juuussttt enough to cover his ass (literally).

Hell I have gotten pissed off at SU for less than this. So I would be livid and want everyone involved held accountable.

When Slade's mess was out in the public and I'm meeting with reporters on a weekly basis, I had to just keep a blazer hanging up in my office for the interviews.

What went down with her doesn't even come close to this BS but my emotions was all over the place of anger, disappointment and frustration with her.

Nah. There are companies that have pulled internships from some Penn State students over this, and the school is instructing students how to handle questions about the sex scandal from potential employers during job interviews.

Hell we lost 4 football games and I was pissed. So I know if there was a cover up of this magnitude I would want heads to roll. Hell I want heads to roll at GSU right now for some things.

That's unfortunate. A company can do what it wants with his money/jobs. As far asking the students questions...hmmm...that's stupid but hey, I'm sure it's happening.

As an Alumna of JSU...if this happened my emotions would go only so far as being embarrassed and slightly mad but it wouldn't take up my entire life. :lol: Just like as a Catholic when all that mess came out...I was embarrased but at the end of the day I don't answer for the people involved (victims and accused). Hopefully the administration will handle properly along with the authorities...but I would keep it moving.
