ST. PAUL (Reuters) - The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.


Bristol Palin, one of Alaska Gov. Palin's five children with her husband, Todd, is about five months pregnant and is going to keep the child and marry the father, the Palins said in a statement released by the campaign of Republican presidential candidate John McCain

The questions I would ask: Did the mother force her to marry? Does her daughter love the boy? You should not marry anyone just because of the kid(s). You will be doing more harm then good.

That marrying comment was to show the base of the Repub party that she will not have a kid out of wedlock.

The spin will be that their family is proof that they are anti-abortion, family values will glorify the marriage of a 17 year old, and Palin is "only" a VP candidate, and our focus should be on Obama and McCain.
 
This is worse than when the Mayor of Spokane fought every anti-gay discrimination bill in the state yet admitted to offering internships to young boys he met in online sex chat rooms.
 
But just watch somehow some way that this "crisis" will be ampified 10x greater.

I mean you had Cindy McCain saying that since Alaska is close to Russia, that she has great security creditenials. The Gov of Alaska has no authority over the military assets there except for the guard and resveres. She is not even brief on most incidents. She didn't even know about the "Surged."

I got my wife pregnant with twins her senior year at Jackson State and we were not married. I immediately married her 1 month after our kids were born. We currently have 4 kids and my wife is a third year biological science PhD student at Vandy. We are Christians and we are truly blessed by God. We all fall short of the glory of God but that doesn't mean we can't get back up. I have three girls and there may come a time when my girls are pregnant before marriage.....God forbid. Whats my point? If that does happen then I will love my daughters and tell them that a child is a blessing from God and God has entrusted you with a living soul.......its a blessing. My wife and I do our best to raise our kids in a Christian educational environment, however things will come up and all I can do is encourage them to stand strong in the faith. I'm sure they have asked God for forgiveness and will move on with their life.

Its good to know that Mrs. Palin's daughter is having the baby and considering marriage. This is how Christians work out teen pregnancy and this reminds me of the way it use to be in the old days. If you knock a young lady up then you must marry that young lady.....that's biblical. I would rather the situation they're in now instead of a cover up through abortion........that's wrong.
 
Oh the McCain Camp think they are slick by puttng this out now while America's attention is the hurricane.

Just think what everyone will be talking about if this was a slow news day or at the Repub Convention.

Right. Unbelievable. McCain KNEW that girl was pregnant. BUT, they will somehow spin this to be the perfect example of family values. :smh: Just like Hannity said it was okay for McCain to have an adulterous affair and divorce his wife because he was a POW.

Show me where God said in the bible, that if you make someone pregnant, you should marry them. And don't take all day to research it, you said it so you should know which verse it is.

If a man falls in love with a maiden, to the point that he takes her to bed, then he should be willing to marry her. In other words, do not lie with any maiden that you are not willing to marry.

Exodus 22:17 "If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins."

"The money according to the dowry of virgins" is fifty shekels, as recorded in Deuteronomy 22:29:

Deuteronomy 22:28 "If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;"

Deuteronomy 22:29 "Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days."

If the man forced himself on this virgin for any reason, and is found out, that man can not use the reasons granted by and in Moses' law to put this woman away by divorce. She become his wife as long as the two are in their flesh bodies. This is the law of God. It ain't you I'm worried about. I think you'll be okay. It's the young damsel that is pregnant and betrothed I'm thinking of.... If your mind is not mature, you can get married, but you more than likely will NOT stay married.

The daughter is 5 months pregnant, BUT was out of school and inside the home for 4-5 months for MONO, MONO for pete's sake! You can treat mono is a couple of weeks and it does not require quarantine. Mono is highly contagious, if she had mono and could not have contact, how the sam hell did she get pregnant.

Palin, who is very slender said she hid her pregancy because she did want anyone to think she couldn't do her job. She did not tell friends or family. But Bristol stayed out of school for 5 dayum months for a simple disease that you clear up with a shot of penicillian in 5-7 days, not MONTHS. Then Palin leaves a conference IN LABOR and flies back to Alaska for 8 hours!!!! She claims she knew the baby had Downs and at age 44 that makes her pregnancy high risk, why would you get on a plane for 8 hours in friggin' labor? :rolleyes:

She jumped on a plane because Bristol went into labor and they did not know that the baby was Down's because Bristol didn't have prenatal testing.

Next stop on the DISORIENT EXPRESS...Bristol will have a miscarriage!

Palin is a filthy liar and Jesus knows it.

IF the young woman was black, then it would probably been different story.. Conservatives and social conservatives will be saying when didn't she keep her legs close and focus on getting education and then get married...

That is the law of man not God. God did not require man to get marry but because of mans ways he allow it.
 
From Obama's Democratic Convention Speech:

"But I will also go through the federal budget, line by line, eliminating programs that no longer work and making the ones we do need work better and cost less - because we cannot meet twenty-first century challenges with a twentieth century bureaucracy."

Looks like he can start with the abstinence-only sex education program. Palin should be able to agree with this. :smh:
