P-Valley on Starz

I see how the writers are not a fan of the church, but it was cool to see the inclusion of the Orisha as respect to "the old Gods".

I think they are a fan of the church by showing the hypocrisy that takes place. Fictional building fund....no woman should preach in the pulpit....casting the first stone but has sinned....

This is going to be a show about black strippers and they keep highlighted this black dude who gay dressed as a woman. Am I the only one getting tired of black people being represented in this light?

Every time like clockwork you can count on us being THAT person

I think the whole casino thingy is about to go sideways. Funny how they show the half black brother being smarter than his 2 white brothers. I think leasing the land is a good idea if they get a good stream of payments and a solid opt out clause

I was thinking the same thing.

That building fund about to make Mercedes fine mama catch a bad one, she is either gonna take the 20 stacks from the church because good ole pastor didn't let her preach or she won't be able to give it back to her daughter which will make Mercedes go bad because retirement will be out the window, neither scenario is good

The church already got the loan....so they can give her back the money. A lot of churches do that....

According to some "conspiracy or turthers" it's an agenda, but who's agenda is the big question. One side says its the leftist or the deep state and the other says it's the conservatives, while some others say it's a white wing agenda regardless of political affiliation.

Damn I'm late to the show, but damn it was gripping. Just like ther Popeye's chicken sandwich, I didn't want to like, but it got me hooked

I still haven't tried one.

Ok....so Autumn is milking that money. I'm wondering where/who is the person. The gay rapper and Uncle.....that was just over the top....LMAO!!!!! The funniest thing was when the coach gave Mercedez the diamond necklace and she gave to the dude at the club to get his children some shoes. These gump dudes be trying to spoil these strippers and these women don't care....they want dollars. LMAO!!!!

I knew Mercedes momma was shady, but not that shady. I'm glad they're showing that part of the religions community because there are some people that will use Gods name in all kinds of foolery.

Autumn is run some big money type of scam. Can't wait to see the truth behind that because she was pulling 9K with each transaction.

Lil Murda gotta be a happy camper. He got his track played & he managed to clap Uncle Cliffords cheeks lol. Wonder what's going to happen to him now that his homeboy has an idea bout his DL activity.

Mississippi might be the top skrippah in charge now. She look like she had a new level of confidence after performing in front of that packed house.

That 9K amount was to throw off the feds. Anytime a deposit of 10K or more is deposited (or given for a negotiable instrument), the bank/business is obligated to report it to the IRS which shares it with other agencies (it's a trigger for money laundering).

I don't think it's that they are not a fan but I think they are bringing realism to the church. I know a ton of churches who have down and are doing the same thing. They need money to get loans and have members funnel money through the church. Moreover, the no females in the pulpit is a big issue in churches. Whether men like it or not the work in churches has been done by women for years yet men and even women don't like seeing a female minister in pulpit unless it is a women's day speaker.

There got to be some good church folks out there somewhere.
