Financial Assistant/Consultant To The CFO
Term: Contract for 3 to 6 months, with possible perm placement at end of
term with position assessments to come in the March, April, May 2004 time
frame.
Rate To Contractor: $60 to $80/Hour on a 1099 Basis
INDUSTRY: Energy Services
COMPANY PROFILE
With revenues approaching $1 billion, our client is an international
oilfield services company employing people worldwide in the US, UK, Norway,
Singapore & Australia. This position is part of the Houston-based shared
services group supporting the Company's U.S.-based employees in five (5)
locations.
Recently emerging from Chapter 11, our Client is looking for someone to
assist the CFO at the manager level. The candidate would assist the Company
on a number of fronts on a consulting basis and potentially be considered
for a permanent hire in Corporate for the Houston office in 3 to 6 months.
The Company is currently dealing with a myriad of issues, including:
- RE-AUDIT - Re-audit of its 2001 and 2002 accounts,
- FRESH START - Implementing fresh-start accounting coming out of
Bankruptcy,
- SOA- Starting the Company's SARBOX process,
- POLICIES & PROCEDURES - Develop new policy and procedures and
- IC IMPROVEMENTS - Dealing with internal control improvements.
POSITION PROFILE
Responsibilities on a Contract basis would include:
- IC TASK FORCE: Assisting in creating a task force to aid in improving
controls and processes in one of the business units
- AUDIT ASSISTANCE: Assist business unit with the 2003 audit and other
issues which arise
- POLICY REVIEW: Advise on new accounting policy being developed by the
Company
- AUDIT LIAISON: Assist in coordination and communication with Auditors for
the Houston group
- OTHER: Other matters as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with the following characteristics:
