Ok, can someone explain this?

Atkins, a 6-foot, 213-pound left-hander, played in five games last season, rushing for 9 yards on three carries and going 0-of-2 passing.

The 5-10, 181-pound Loftin has yet to play in a game.

"Neither one of those guys have completed a pass in college. Neither one of them have played any meaningful minutes in a college football game. There's a lot of things we're going to have to coach them through this spring."

Much of Atkins' playing time came early last season in routs of Tennessee State, Clark Atlanta and Mississippi Valley State. He saw limited action against Texas Southern and Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Even so, Jones has been pleased with Atkins' progress during the offseason.

"Kevin has shown tremendous leadership," he said. "He's lost some weight. He's in great shape. He's running and finishing toward the front. I'm going to take a look at both of them, but Kevin should have the advantage."

 Ok, Jones is leaning towards a QB that hasnt completed a pass in the 5 games he played in and talking about he lost weight and finishing towards the front? Was he converted from a TE or DT or something?

This dude couldnt complete a pass against Clark or Valley?

Oliver is gone and so is * :smh:

:lmao: You really have no clue. I love Oliver, but believe me when I say we will be more than fine without him. However, your school will miss Luke greatly because Jones fail to recruit a QB who can step in and replace him. Comegy didn't make that mistake. :swink:

It only mean that we will be 0 and 11 this year, but we will have 2008 windsuits and tailgate. We are not just about football, because we are still a basketball school who win Volleyball, bowling, and tennis championships; sometime we win football and basketball championships. We been at this 131 years and we are looking forward to 132 years of kicking other teams around.

Thanks MD. I knew you could explain it with logic.

I went by Spring Practice yesterday and counted only 18 Offensive linemen and 21 defensive linemen. 10 RBs, 15 DBs, 8 LBs, 2 kickers and 3 QBs. It seems like we are going to have people playing on both sides of the ball. Maybe the 32 incoming freshmen will have to step up.

Sounds like ya'll are having illegal practice. Jones has been watching the team run. It's in black and white....

Now, you (jokingly I guess) say you went to Spring Practice yesterday. :lmao:

Bulldogs suffer two key losses on line

Injured Kearse, Williams out for rest of spring

Alabama A&M has sustained a couple of key injuries after just three days of spring practice.

According to athletic trainer John Gaines, defensive tackle Frank Kearse, a rising sophomore from Augusta, Ga., has a torn meniscus in his left knee, while offensive tackle Emmett Williams suffered a broken right hand. Both injuries occurred Sunday when the Bulldogs worked in full pads for the first time.
