the gooddoctor's weekly picks

APB vs Central Arkansas - Central Arkansas will prevail in this one.
Don't ask me why, it's just hard to have confidence in Coach Hardman's boys.

PVU vs Paul Quinn - This game will be a shootout. Chris Peters will be the difference for the Panthers. Panthers get first win.

Alabama State vs Alcorn - Hornets will win this game . Braves are down after giving away last weeks' game to the G-Men. Braves defense leaves a lot to be desired. Hornets continue to surprise.

Delta State vs MVSU - It's going to be a long season for the Devils. 0-2 becomes 0-3. Talk was good coach Totten, but reality has begun to set in.

JSU vs Tennessee State - The boys from Jacktown are still learning their offense. Lost to A&T will carry over. When you have a good qb and good receivers you throw the ball. Coach Bell is trying to prove a point. The JSU Mafia ain't the most patient folks in the conference. JSU starts the season 0-3. And now it's down hill for the remainder of the season. I told you the A&T game would be critical. I told you.)

GSU vs Alabama A&M - (SWAC Game of the WEEK) The boys from Louisiana Normal College still don't have a running game. Clarrett from Ohio State won't help this year. Tigers were had by the Braves but got away. The Bulldogs defense won't crumbled like the Braves did. G-Men get their first SWAC lost of the season.

SU vs North Carolina A&T - The Aggies have an outstanding Blue Death defense. Offense is lacking. Jaguars are clicking on both cyclinders offensively and defensively. The boys from red stick have enough defense to handle their MEAC brothers. But it's the balance the Jaguars are showing on offense that will make the difference. Pete's boys are running and playing pitch and catch. Pick your poison A&T. The Jags will win on the scoreboard, the battle of the bands, and in attendance.

Last week: 4 - 3

Overall 8 -5

:lmao:

ASU 31 ALCORN 28 - BAMA ST. SUPRISINGLY IS HANGING IN THERE AND COMPETING WELL, THEY ALWAYS WIN A SWAC GAME EARLY IN THE SEASON. THIS WILL BE IT. GO HORNETS.

****GAME OF THE WEEK****

AAMU 24 GRAMBLING 20 - AAMU HAS AN AN OFFENSE , THEIR DEFENSE IS STILL THERE AND HOLDS ITS OWN AND CAN STOP THE TIGERS. WITH A STELLAR OFFENSE AND A DECENT DEFENSE,. GRAMBLING STAYS IN THE GAME. BUT LATE LIKE ALWAYS FOR A&M THEIR DEFENSE WILL RISE TO THE OCCASION AND WIN THE GAME IN SHREVEPORT.

TGD,

Help me understand this statement. By your standards, what is a running game? Because in the Alcorn game we had 167 yards on 36 carries. That is an average of 4.6 yards per carry. That would equate to almost a first down every other carry. In the game of football, anything over 4 yards per carry is considered "very solid".

Help me understand this.

-- Holla!

A&t is battle tested. Beating JSu on the road the way we did will give our young team a wealth of cofidence. They trust in coach Small and trust in each other. Even when the offense had a horrible night Sautday, the team somehow found a way to win. They is the mark of a champion. Look at OSU last year.

The offense will come back next week and the defense will continue to make plays.

A&T 27, SU 10
