Basically.

They had four more butts in seats until the game was moved back to Saturday.

I ain't working all day Friday, then driving umpteen hours with three kids on little sleep, and I can't afford four plane tickets.

Oh well, y'all kick it for me, hea? :wavey:

Likewise, they lost at least two more because I was gonna fly to Jacktown, go to the Reservation and tailgate for the Alcorn-Gram game, leave Alcorn around 3 to attend the JSU-DSU game and then I was gonna drive to BHam the next day for the Challenge. Oh well.

I know right, because I was going to the Alcorn and Grambling game as well.

Oh well, they lost me and mine by having it on Saturday. We'll be at the Gram game. Y'all have a good time. It's a very enjoyable event no matter who the teams are. We had a blast last year. Take advantage of all the events they offer. Get to the stadium early to enjoy the festivities outside the stadium.

Hate to bust your bubble. I already spoke with the Alcorn S.I.D..(LaToya Shields). The Alcorn Grambling game is at the SAME time as JSU vs Delta State 6pm!!!!!!!!

Yeah..Alcorn normally had those 1pm games...

I'm looking at the seating chart and it shows both bands sitting across from each other. SU band in section 33, and FAMU band in 13.

How the hell they let Miles punk them into moving the game on Sat. I'll personally like that is on a Saturday, but now we get bumped to ESPN Classic. Thats ok, the Jag Nation and the Rattlers are still coming out. Oh and its a night game now so thats a MAJOR plus. Lets just make this game so crunk they'll invite us back next year for a matchup on ESPN or ESPN2.

The game time is 2 pm. They pushed it back by 1 hour. ESPN tried to punk Miles and their AD was like nope, being on ESPNU and the measley dollars they offered was insulting. So ESPN did what I thought they would. Move back to Saturday and move it to ESPN Classic. Now we don't have to rush out of the stadium and can let the bands go at it. On Sunday we would have been on a timetable to get out of Miles and Skegee's way. Plus folks can roll on out of B-ham if they like. As far as next year. I doubt SU will be back in the Challenge. I am sure Tn State is going bring us up to Nashville for their JMC on labor day weekend since they come to Baton Rouge this year. FAMU might get invited back since Challenge will be in Orlando from what folks are saying. I think BCC has that Labor day classic we played in last season every year. They would be a logical choice for the Meac if it wasn't for that conflict.

yes the bands do be right across from each other ask Hampton how they felt that fire coming from GSU's band lol: I feel for the power SU is going to throw at FAMU lol

  Hampton's Secret Garden was nice. We sit on winner's side of the stadium. If i'm not mistaking AlaSU and GSU was the home team for the Challenge, and the visitor team always won lol

The first part is my plan.......................It's still going to happen.:D

SU/FAMU has been axed out my weekend plans now.:wavey:

Jag-BR, may I ask which seating chart you were looking at? I am looking at ticketmaster's and they don't indicate who sits where.

JR you are right. We play Tn State the 2nd game of the 08 season, and we start off by playing Houston in H-Town. Big Thunder go to the Meac/Swac Challenge site and click on tickets and it will show you.

LB are you going to leave on Saturday morning going to B-ham?

We are rolling deep leaving at around 3am or 4am to catch The Great Tailgate at 10am, and we should be safe from parking issues, and after the game we are heading back to BR to prepare for the next week to fly out to Chi-Town!!!

LB are you going to leave on Saturday morning going to B-ham?

LB, I sure hope so! However, the "Last Son of Big Thunder" will be playing Pop Warner/Park Football for the first time this fall, so I am hoping that we don't have a conflict. The other two fellas are out of the nest, so to speak, and it is Brandon's turn now. I sure hope I don't miss too much this coming fall.
