Now that football season is over, the focus shifts to recruting

Actually MB...Doug cant just throw darts at the board like he did in his first session. He is going to have to recruit as a science this time. Right now he has no talent at WR QB CB OL DL and LB. Lets see what Doug can do.
 
1. Offensive Coordinator- Stump should not be calling the plays!!!!
2. Offensive Line- I think we have some good QBs, but they need time to deliver good throws.
3. Defensive Line and Linebacker depth- we really need to be able to stop teams from dominating on the ground.
4. Kicker- really would have made a big difference in our record if we had a consistent kicker.
5. Tight End- I think this is a key point to the offense that Stump wants to run.
 



1. OC. Stump needs to concentrate on being the HC. We need a good run and pass mix. Run game send help.
2. Defensive Linemen, especially DT depth.
3. Offensive Linemen. We have some promising young guys, but you never have enough of them
4. Bigger DBs especially at corner. Too many tall WRs to defend these days
5. Kicker and Punter. Got to have good special teams. Return game is good.
6. Playmakers, can't have enough of them at any position
7. Last but not least, the kids need to use the damn new facilities to get bigger and stronger and get that fat off of some of them. No excuses they have all the stuff they need. I am going to give the Strength and Conditioning coach a pass since he just got there this year. But he is on a short leash with me if he don't get them guys in the trenches in better shape. Especially the OL.
 
At JSU we need a QB(white), a DB and 2-3 WRs. That's all. We have a freshman TE and DE to replace Rollins and Donovan Robinson. What comegy really needs to do is recruit for 2013.

You got to be kidding. Haren never would have beaten the teams we did beat. Lol. The 5 close games out of the 7 we lost would've been blow outs with Haren.

You're really bragging on close losses? You finished 4-7. That's nothing to beat your chest about.

Before this turns into a Steve Haren memory lane thread, please note that I was being facetious about us needing a white QB. We do need a QB, like most of the teams in this conference.

After looking at Southern this you guys were like 1 or 2 players away on offense and defense from being pretty good..You guys always had a nice return game....Do you think Stump is gonna stick with the Pro-Style Offense or let them Air it out more?

I think everybody in the SWAC needs upgrades in facilites except Bama State!

Going from 0-11 to 1-10 is like going from an F to an F+. I guess you can call that improvement but you're still flunking.

I suspect Lyvonia "S" Mitchell is the best recruiter in the SWAC and it will pay dividends in 2012.

If he could bring in talent it would've shown up already on the field. Part of being a good recruiter on this level is finding guys that meet your immediate needs. Stump let Comegy swoop in and grab Joseph Lebeau(All-American, 16 sacks) away from yall this summer. We'd just found out about him and SU had been on him for months. A good recruiter would not have let a player like that get away.

But isnt Lyvonia slim? Wasnt he in the NFL? GR knows he didnt let fat Rick out recruit him.

Im anxious to see what Comegy recruits this time
