Notre Dame v. The SEC

I can tell some of you all either haven't seen Georgia play this year or believe things don't or can't change from year to year. Right now, Georgia would beat the dog snit out of Notre Dame. Some of you all are going to be scratching your head after the SEC championship game if Georgia wins or losses. Georgia has a big nasty defense with bad intentions this year and for the first time in a minute they are at full strength. This offense is very balance. The only thing that would concern me is if Mark can keep a few of those players out of trouble for 5 weeks leading up to the Notre Dame game. Lmao!

Ga Florida LSU bama txam would definitely beat ND
vandy OleMiss msu would give them a nice game
ND ain't good....this is another case of ND feasting on soft slow black dudes from up north. They need to call Ohio state and ask them what they are in for

Notre Dame ain't playing South Carolina, Ole Piss, Miss. State, Vanderbilt or LSU. No need to discuss what the outcome of those games would be.

Just like Spurrier said you can always count on them having players suspended. lol

Just like Georgia was supposed to beat Central Florida and Michigan State their last two bowl games, right?

not sure if Notre Dame can pull off the championship but has stated, "Notre Dame did just what's needed to win" -M&M in the Morning.

NBC might playing Rudy during that weekend. LOL.

The SEC would dump truck Notre Dame. I am gone love to see what "All World" Linebacker Manti Te'o does when Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon come running downhill at him for 4 quarters.

All this revisionist history is amusing. When ND schedule came out with them playing at then No. 3 Oklahoma, No. 1 USC, against then No. 8 Michigan (who they hadn't beaten in three years), at Michigan State, which has always been a tough game and against No. 17 ranked Stanford (who beat Oregon, USC and UCLA), nobody would have said they would have gone unbeaten. Nobody.

It's easy to say now ND didn't play anybody, but I heard all this banter about Brian Kelly is crazy scheduling these games, they may only win 7 games, he's going to be on the hotseat after the season. Funny how the refrain changed.

Fair Assessment

It's one thing to stop the run against the teams they have played but we all know the SEC is on a different level with line play. Alabama will beat the living ish out of ND if they make it, but I have a feeling Georgia is going to play the he'll out of Bama.

I agree.

I'm a WHOLE LOT more nervous about playing Georgia than I am about Notre Dame. I know Georgia has tended to choke in the past, but this team seems different - at least over the past four or five weeks, since the South Carolina debacle.

If Bama can get past Georgia - and I think they will, though it won't be easy - I'll feel pretty good about Bama against Notre Dame, especially as someone already mentioned, with Saban having about 40 days to prepare.

Roll Tide Roll ! ! !

I would not bet on Notre Dame beating Bama. But let's not act like Nick Saban has won every big game at Bama either. There was the loss in the SEC title game to Florida followed by the Sugar Bowl loss to Utah.

Two years ago, the Tide blew a 20-point lead against the Cam Newton- led Tigers at home. Then they dropped a tough three point game to LSU at the crib last year. This season the Tide were getting SWAC'd by Johnny Football and dem before making a game out of it in the end.

Saban is a great coach who has won championships, but every once in a while his teams don't play as expected.

Kendrick, nobody said Saban wins EVERY game he coaches. No one does. Bear Bryant, Eddie Robinson, Bobby Bowden, etc., etc., etc., . . . They all lost every now and then.

As far as the Florida loss in the 2008 SEC Championship Game, that was Saban's second year at Alabama, and it was miraculous for Bama to even be in that game. Plus they were going against Tebow - and the refs :emlaugh: , and still nearly pulled it off. As for Utah, in the Sugar Bowl - Bama really didn't wanna be there, and it showed.

Against Cam Newtown, it wa a 24 point blown lead, not 20 points, for the record. Chalk that one up to Bama getting off the "process", and Cam having an amazing game.

And LSU by 3 in overtime? Come on man. That LSU team was "supposed to be" one of the greatest of all time, and Bama Still beat them everywhere but on the scoreboard. And I think you remember what happened a few weeks later in the Super Dome.

Nobody's perfect, but Saban and The Tide are as close to perfect as it gets . . .
