Re: The SWAC is Where it Belongs... OUT

I didn't claim to "have honor" I just pointed out that you lack it...it's a simple concept. I guess we can add that to the growing list of simple concepts YOU, personally, are unable to grasp...

I didn't start talking about YOU...I'm merely responding to your bullshit...I guess that's another concept you don't understand...

I guess there's a lesson there for me, too. Never argue with a fool. People might not be able to tell the difference...

McNeese has no more "honor" than Southern.

That lie was thoroughly destroyed and exposed for what it really was and is. Simple greed and selfishness by McNeese. Hypocritical selfishness because McNeese would have done the same thing Southern did in that situation. And an attempt to perpetuate a racist stereotype by you. A stereotype that may be easily accepted by you and your kind, but will never be accepted here. No matter how many times you repeat it.

You have overstayed your welcome. This may be the time for you to go your way in peace.

Just a hint.

Be gone. Vamos. Au revoir.

No...what McNeese would have done if a similar situation came up would be to acknowledge it, pay the buyout like we did with Cal Poly when LSU came calling and throw it out there in the open...

We wouldn't have used the Southern tactic of trying EVERYTHING else in the world, first, before paying the buyout...

Nice try, though...

Greed? Really? Again, I posted a description of how that game got made and WHY, specicifically, the way it was handled pissed me off. You can either accept it, or not. If you want to ascribe a racial component to it, that speaks more to your limited worldview than anything else...

And what racist stereotype do you imagine that I"m trying to perpetuate, when I call you buddy out for the stuff he's actually posted, where skin color is central to his argument??

So it's time to go "in peace?" LOL...okay, internet tought guy. I'm easy to find ;)

More lying from a pathological liar. What could be more predictable?

That is not what happened. There was never an intention from Southern to not pay. Southern simply negotiated and arranged for the buyout to be paid in a different manner ... and it was. There is no "dishonor" in negotiating.

The subtle racism you have been sprinkling throughout your comments doesn't need to be pointed out or discussed. You are a practiced and skilled racist. However, your mistake was assuming that there weren't people just as practiced and skilled at recognizing and opposing people such as yourself on this board. If you are as smart you think you are, you will notice that I'm granting you a reprieve. Take it and leave.

That's exactly what happened...if Southern had intended to pay the buyout, like any honorable school that properly handles their business does, they wouldn't have tried to invoke "Force Majure" when the subject of rescheduling came back around...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news for you there....

Fortunately, ESPN came to the rescue....That part of it's water under the bridge...

I'm sorry you feel that hitting Southern grads with a dose of truth is evidence of racism. Is that across the board, or only when a white guy does it?

Nevermind, that's a rhetorical question. You see my posts as evidence of racism yet see no problem with Jag89 going so far as to interject skin color as the whole basis of his argument, yet I'm the racist in your view...

Interesting....Sad...but interesting...

Perhaps it IS time to part company AGAIN. I guess when I do it'll be safe for Jag89 to come back and start running his mouth about the white guy again...

Well, i refuse to read this entire thread but the SWAC is not as bad off as others try to suggest. Where is the comparison with the OOC records of other 1-AA conferences?

To me, I don't see anything wrong with us playing good D2 teams like Delta State and Tuskegee but we HAVE to win those games. I have no idea why we are scheduling Tulane, Houston, and UL-Monroe when we can't beat good D2 teams. Our goal needs to be to schedule winnable, yet challenging out of conference games. If that means playing Nicholls and SELA instead of Nicholls instead of NW State and McNeese, let us do that. For example, UAPB is not a top SWAC team to be scheduling like they are. Some teams need to stay in their place.

..and to take it a little further, I like what Valley did. They scheduled FAMU and Delta State.. the only problem is that they scheduled them a year too late. Some people don't understand program building. You don't build a program by scheduling game you KNOW you will lose. Pine Bluff should have taken advantage of last year and scheduled two winnable games. McNeese is not strong year in and year out but they are certainly a better program than UAPB. They should have scheduled like Valley... a game vs a MEAC program, TNState or a team like Delta State or Valdosta would have been suitable for a program that is down more than it is up.

You're entitled to your opinion as to whether we're a top SWAC school or not, and considering what happened last season, I can understand your reason for thinking that. However, regarding our scheduling Arkansas State, that was neither a money game or a game that was scheduled based off whether it was "winnable". Same reason for scheduling the McNeese State game. Neither game is/was contingent on whether or not we'll make it to Houston or not, so that point is null.

Last season when we played Tennessee State, it was a turning point for our team. The first half of the game, our team was very, very competitive and played the toughest I've seen in years. After that, we didn't lose a game, but continued to play more competitively. Tennessee State, like Arkansas State and McNeese are stronger teams, no doubt about that. And I know that playing stronger teams enhance skills and raises the level of competitiveness in the smaller teams. Sometimes it isn't about the money or whether you win the game; it's about continuing to learn the game against more fast-paced schools and gaining more edge so you can improve and compete better down the line, thus Arkansas State and McNeese on UAPB's schedule.

I'm sure most people on this board really don't care what color you are or your political views, but for some strange reason it was you that decided to tell everybody on this board that you are some White guy that is a conservative Republican that attends Tea Party rallies. I guess it was your so-called honor or lack discretion that made you tell us that. Like I said before, honor is not when you tell someone you have honor, it's displayed in your character, and the way I see it, you seem to have no honor at all.

No, as a white registered Republican, I don't know that. I've been to a couple of tea party functions, though I don't consider myself a "tea partier". I know several tea party folks...some of whom are black...Race has never been an issue at any function I've been to...

I don't agree with many of the President's policies. But it has everything to do with the policies, not his skin color...

I'm sorry you can't look past race and see that it just MIGHT be a legitimate disagreement over policy...

Here's my last words to you, "screw you and McNeese and the horse y'all rode". And I say that with HONOR. I'm sure what I just typed is racist to you.

Actually, if you go back to post 48 on the "Syria: Step Away US" thread that's now locked, I merely commented on some numbers JayRob used in describing the death toll in Iraq. Then I said I too hoped we stay out of Syria and, in response to his comment about John McCain, that the Dems could have him. I think he needs to retire...

JayRob and I went back and forth on a number of posts we disagreed on. Ultimately, I agreed he was right on a post regarding the cost of Iraq and Afghanistan...

Right after that, in post 62, you threw a bunch of stuff in about the GOP being a mess due to racial bigotry and McCain trying to straighten it out. I disagreed with that, you doubled down on the racism charge, and then added the stuff about the Tea Party, painting with an overly broad brush about Republicans. When I pointed out that it's possible to disagree with the President without regard for his skin color, you doubled down again on the racism charge and virtually EVERY single comment you've made about politics since then has included skin color references...I then pointed out that I'd been elected to the La. GOP State Central Committee. Not everybody on that committee is white....I pointed that out so you'd understand that your generalizations were painting with an overly broad brush...

But, that doesn't matter....You've chosen to specifically mention skin color in posts dealing with not only politics but also about Football.

You might wanna look up the term "racist" to see what the actual definition is...and then you might wanna take a hard look in the mirror...I'm not gonna hold my breath. If you were the introspective sort, most of what you post would be far different...

Here's my last words to you, "screw you and McNeese and the horse y'all rode". And I say that with HONOR. I'm sure what I just typed is racist to you.

No, that part wasn't racist at all....as to those being your last words to me....."Promises, promises"

I would love to be in the playoffs but we need work. Something has gone seriously wrong with us and for us but we can not continue looking for pitty nor handouts we must work to get it back again. I love the swac but I don't like how we operate. Now I try to see the good in all situations but in this there is more bad. Why can't all HBCU's come together and form its own playoff system and force them to come to us we have a great brand we just suck at promoting it and when you continue to lose it does not help the matter.

lets go LIONS.....
