Some of yall really need to grow up and find a passion in life other than band. These band board DMX's are killing me. lol. It's been 10-15 years for some of you and you are heated over some of the most inconsequential, trivial and elementary things. lol. Many times on here the behavior of us full-grown adults would be more fitting for the 18-21 year-olds who march in our respective bands. Toddlers/Children have a hard time with the concept of respecting the opinion of others... They often resort to yelling and such. lol. Is there a such things as online sportsmanship...? If so, please display it.

In reference to the marching thing. I think that the emphasis that the band puts on it and the band's marching style are big factors. Also the tempo of the show makes a difference also. I think the best way to reference this discussion is is your band marching "90's"? Many bands emphasize marching at a 90 degree angle and usually most members are marching more like 45 degrees than 90. Southern in particular doesnt try to march 90s but they have a style that allows them to do that and look ok, mainly because of the empahsis placed on horn swings and the "whip" turns. A person could literally be walking and if they are swinging and whipping good enough you wont really notice it. Another things is Southern doesnt have visible stripes on there pants so if someone is not marching its hard to tell. Tenn St's unis are like that also.
