Yeh, I heard that. First thing I thought was "horrible timing." You're right, while in training camp, one needs to be there 100% of the time physically, as well as mentally.

My son trains at the same place Martez trains when he comes to Louisiana. The owner of the training facility is on the Redskins training staff. As a matter of fact my son and three other young men attempted to keep up with Martez one day....they held their own for about 30 minutes. My son said it was like playing a full game with only 15 second breaks in between sets.
 
I didn't realize that he was 25. Definitely hoping he makes something happen this preseason.
 



Martez won’t play tonight vs the Patriots because of a hamstring injury. This sucks cause he needs all the live game action reps he can get to make the team.
 
Sorry about Martez wish he could be on the field tonight. But I have been reading Twitter. Looks like Danny Johnson is having a good night.
 
I am hoping Johnson, Carter and Guice all be successful and see playing time this year. I will be watching the Redskins this year.

TSU and SU also has a UDFA on the Redskins.

TSU's Davin Kidsy had 1 catch for 5 yards. He played 21 snaps
SU's Danny Johnson had 67 total snaps.

Southern’s Danny Johnson and Grambling’s Martez Carter are both hoping to stick with Washington this season. Carter wasn’t available on Thursday night but Johnson chipped in with four solo tackles at cornerback. Former Texas Southern receiver Darvin Kidsy grabbed one reception for five yards on Thursday night.
