I feel your pain! The problem is the higher ups! It' not McClelland & Co.

:shame: On the cool I hear we (alums) need to get rid of the Pres.:shame: I heard he's not for a new stadium:splat: PV would have a better turnout if they would either rebuild or refurb Blackshear. Many of my friends and family who are alums said they would not put their bodies thru the cruel pain of the current cramped up high school stadium.
 
It's SAD:smh: I said this in a prior thread when someone asked to post a picture of all swac stadiums. What's so sad PV plays Alcorn on ESPNU this season and they are so embarassed they are playing the game at the new CyFair ISD Stadium just to make themselves look good:smh: :smh:

Yes, in fact I sat down with him on Wednesday for over an hour. I know the AD since we were both undergrad. I feel that I am well informed.

If that was the case why didn't they move the games that were played last year that was televised?

FYI - The Swac office requested a thursday night game that was to be televised on ESPNU for that week and no one but PV stepped up to take it.
 



Start a stadium specific building fund with a concrete plan and hel-l I will contribute and I have no affiliation with PV. I just really want tosee TxSU and PV get they own isht.
 
Ya'll negros need to go to Lowes and buy a bunch of material and whip some ****e up, because anything will be better than that 8th grade stadium you got on your campus. PVAMU Alumni, you all ought to be ashamed of that embarassing "Its so bad I don't even know what to call that ****e" that you all have.

Maybe you guys can get some lawyers and sue the A&M system for inequalities. Corpus Christi and all the other schools in that system have great facilities.
 
if the man at the top don't want it....it ain't happening....unless some money crazy person drops 15 million right now on campus, a stadium is at least 10 years away sad to say.

and with the current state of alumni PV is graduating, alot of them take their degrees and never look back. How many actually show back up on campus outside of homecoming to even justify a stadium?

I know. Unfortuantly, that the price these day for anything decent. It also depends on how nice you want it to be. A stadium can be something you build on to, depending on attendance and monetary support.

Actually it's not. The new high school football stadium in the CyFair ISD (Texas) cost 37 million and it only seats 11,000. The entire complex they built there cost 73 million, it's Five Facilities in One:

Arena ?
Stadium
Theater
Conference Center
Satellite Food Production Center and it all includes:

- 11,000 seat athletic stadium;
- 16,000 square-foot staff development/ conference center; ?Can be partitioned into 17 rooms;
- 456-seat auditorium;
- Multi-purpose area designed for 9,500 maximum capacity with 8,300 fixed seats;
- Floor banquet seating and catering facility to accommodate the preparation and serving of 1,000 meals;
- Complete loading dock, backstage marshalry, star and support dressing areas;
- 4,000 space parking area;
- Administrative office space

They actually saved money by making this 5 in 1 facility but 73 million is still a lot of money. This is where Prairie View will play Alcorn St at on 10/05 for ESPNU.
