Texas Southern's STARTING QB got hurt and taken out of the game....but wait this was the first game. I don't pray injuries on players but I wonder what Prairie View would be saying if their starting QB got injured and was taken out of the game and they had lost.

It's not like we've never lost a starting QB before in a game. One time Smiley stepped in and proceeded to open a can of whoop ass on somebody. Amassing team totals on his own. Maybe that says something about depth and adversity. Injuries are a part of the game. Instead of talking about what could have happened if the QB stayed in they should be talking about having backups ready to go. I know I was at our final scrimmage looking at the backup QBs more than anything. Somebody has to take the helm if Green goes down and somebody has to take it next season. It's a part of the game that sTu just didn't have so they lost.

How did Christophe get injured by the way?
 
The backup QB wasn't the only one fumbling for sTu on Sunday.. If I recall Christophe coughed it up twice.

He hurt his knee on a cut he made early in the 2nd quarter... He stayed in.. A few series later our DT pushed him down as he was releasing the ball and he hurt his knee again.

Roll with that, pv put the W in the books and TSU put another L in the books that's what it comes down to. Considering what TSU has been through since the year TSU visited Birmingham, I'm good with what I saw with my team even taking an L, are you good with what you saw out of your team? Are you good seeing panther juice spilled all over the field? Save 5-6 minutes in the third quarter your team was totally dominated. Are you good with that?

Look buddy. I never take much from the LDC. I don't care if we had stomped y'all ass to oblivion. What does it mean? We don't know if we're that good or you suck because it's the first game of the season. On top of that it's a highly emotional game. To add to this one we have no footage of this coach in what the last decade?

Look, this time last year I was yelling for Smiley to start over Green and Courtney Brown was the leading rusher. We then put 400+ yards on FBS Texas State and changed my mind. Yes the offense showed me more against an FBS team than they did y'all. Then they sputtered again against AAMU.

So all I took from this game was that we can still move the ball. We left a lot of yards on the field from receivers dropping passes they normally catch. I'm not sure what you should make of your offense seeing as we've been susceptible to the long ball for a while. I guess that you all can finally complete a pass? You can let these other folks keep pumping y'all head but remember they just anxious for us to fall off. I'm anxious to see how y'all do against HBU if I read the schedule correctly. For personal reasons I hope y'all put a foot off in they ass. But that may give you some more insight into your team than an LDC loss.

If our starting QB got hurt, there wouldn't be an excuse under the sun that anybody would have accepted. Our "ifs" would NOT have been entertained.

But for what it's worth, a lot of people are saying that PV has gotten worse and that we should have blown TxSU out of the water. But I am certain that a lot of these same people will be crying after TxSU beats their team. I wonder what they'll be saying then.
