I've already stopped watching. The games are so predictable it's pathetic.

The Lakers/Utah series has been unpredictable. Just about all of the games could've gone either way. No twenty or twenty five point blowouts just yet. This is probably why this series has been rated higher than either series so far.

Hey JayRob he mentioned that in his first post...:swink:

Bingo. Stirn and the owners are money hungry hoes...

You guys are forgetting that the owners are making money no matter if a game 6 or 7 is played. The teams make money off the ticket sales even if those games are not played because they are sold in advance. So the extension of the series has no bearing on how much money is or is not being made.

I have cousin who plays in the NBA for a team that was knocked out of the first round this season, and I can assure you that teams don't tank games on purpose in the playoffs. The players really don't want to play any more games than they have to at this point of the season. All these theories by fans are so far out there that it's funny.

Dude the players and coaches aren't tanking but if the games are called tight on one end and loose on the other, it affect play. Also more games keep the NBA on Sportcenter and in the news. Add to that concession, beer sales, merchandise sells they still generate additional revenue. They can also jack up premeium tickets for game 7. How come eveyone sees this but you don't.

You are forgetting that the league already made it's playoff TV money before one single game was played.

Remember, the NBA brokered deals with the national networks to televise the games before the season starts. Networks are paying Stern billions of dollars a year to broadcast all regular season and postseason games. The owners get millions of that in addition to what they get from local TV radio and advertising. Plus, there is merchanise bought from NBA.com, the malls, shops and catalogs. Then advertising spots and sponsored team gear companies pay the league to have the player wear. The league will get it's money even if all the series end in a sweep.

So, it's a moot point.

Not exactly moot when you look at the big picture. Those TV deals are based on ratings, and longer, more competitive series will lead to better ratings, and thus better subsequent TV deals. Now while it's a little ridiculous to think referees are getting halftime calls from David Stern, or even that the league is fixing games, the league has displayed a nasty habit of assigning its better referees to certain games (a series deciding game, a game in which a marquee team needs a road win), and its worst referees to certain games (specifically ones in which it's "better" for the league if the home team wins). Those referees aren't purposely fixing games, they're just so incompetent they can't help but influence the outcome.

The rebounding got better and the Jazz are not going to go away but I can shole tell you that the Jazz fans are pissed off and it is very funny.

9 point lead now. :smh: :smh: The Lakers better do something because this game is to close and the refs feel like they can give it to Utah.

3 point lead just like that. :smh: :smh: :smh: If the Lakers lose this game I am going to be pissed.

If we had our best player, Andrew Bynum (thanks MH), we would probably be in the conference finals right now.

Hey Jayrob

The Celtics and Cavs are playing at 2pm on a Sunday. Wow, what happened to them? There must be a more important game later that night in prime time since they are playing so early on a Sunday. Jordan must be facing Magic later that night on TNT.

Wait a minute. You were just saying how Kobe was the greatest player of all-time, and now you are saying Bynum is the best player on the Lakers and not MVP Kobe Bryant?

1. How am I being contradictory by asking you a question?

2. Man you Lakers fans are so fickle.

You guys boo Kobe on opening night, then you ride his jock after the Lakers don't trade him. Then each time the Lakers lose it someone else's fault. But when they win Kobe gets all the credit.

But I am being contradictory?

Kendrick, what do you think?:emlaugh:

I am think that LeBron James is a half step away from being the best player in the game. Why? It's simple. He has led the Cavs to forcing a Game 7 against the best team in the NBA. You gotta respect that.

I mean, he never cried and moaned about the Cavs not having the talent to compete with the NBA elite teams. It seems like LeBron embraces the challenge of leading a far less talented team to the NBA Finals again. And he does not try to take over games either.

LeBron picks his spots when to take over. He trusts his teammates so much so that he get flack for it. Just listening to his postgame comments like "A LeBron James team is never desperate." Or "We know we can win, and we will win." Very mature for someone still so young in the game. That's why many fans are enamored by him more than other players in the league.

Lie..

Labron did ask to be traded if they didn't build around him..The Cavs have nothing if they loose Lebron. The Lakers go in cycles so they will always be a contending team. The Cavs have made trades to help Lebron and keep him happy. IE Ben Wallace,Delonte West, Joe Smith coming in. Who new Joe Smith would have the games he's had. But the east is weak and the Celtics will win today just because...Lebron is a great player and I'm scared of him in his prime...

LeBron might have asked for the Cavs to build around him, but he did not go soap opera like "The Japanese Beef" did in Hollywood. That's the difference.

Plus, the trade was made just to be made in my opinion.

Ben Wallace is way past his prime and can't rebound, defend or score at all LeBron and the Cavs know that now. I watched him with the Bulls the last year and a half and his skill have decline dramatically. Delonte West is just a guy. I saw Joe Smith with the Bulls and he was Chicago's best player for many games in 2008. So, his play in the playoffs does not surprise me at all.

As far as the East, it is not as strong as the West, but the The Boston Celtics ran though the West like a hot knife through butter in 2008. And that includes two double-digit wins against the Lakers.

The Pistons are always great. And if Orlando ever finds another guard or forward that can play in tandem with Dwight Howard, America will have a problem.

Yeah Boston won 10 games in the west. How man would they win in the playoffs. Many different circumstances take place during the regular season that affect games. The playoffs show what you are made up. So far LA is 8-2 in these playoffs and the celtics are on game #14....In the East...
