My Mom Is Mighty Sick.....

My mom is 80 years young but is going through some medical challenges at present.Tomorrow will be two weeks for this hospital stay for extreme high blood pressure(200+/100+),urinary track infection and early stages of altzheimer's(sp) disease.
The blood pressure is coming down beautifully,the infection is gone but the altzheimer's is raging and causing her to not eat and to speak incoherently.She becomes aggressive at times when the nurses are providing her care or the physical therapists are trying to walk her.A feeding tube was inserted but we have to put restraints on her to keep her from pulling it out.
The neurologist is trying a new medicine that the FDA just approved and this medicine is given rave reviews in Europe.
We have a caregiver for her at home because my brother and I are determined to keep her at home.We had to place her in a nursing home on two occasions for 30 days each time for the purpose of having her receive rehab services,but we were out there everyday making sure that her care was at least adequate.
Many people congratulate my brother and I for the care that we provide for my mom but we're at an impasse now.God has been in the plan all along but we really need your prayers now because this disease is a booger bear. Thank you in advance for your prayers on her behalf.I've cried,walked the floor and have my congregation praying on her behalf.I start crying again as I type this message,but it's all in King Jesus' hands right now.Thanks for listening.:bawling: :angel2: :scared: :cry:
 



You and your brother are to be commended as a caregiver. May God continue to give and your family the strength and courage during this most trying time in your lives. Prayers go up for the situation and may God's will be done.
 
My prayers are with your mother as she recovers from her health challenges. She is truly blessed to have attentive sons as family support her through the difficult times. God Bless!
 
Thanks everyone for your kind and considerate comments.BTW,mom is showing some signs of improvement.Isn't the God of heaven good??
My brother and I will sit with her for most of tomorrow. We can eat turkey and dressing anytime.
