My BCF top 10 week 5

BISON-2K1

New Member
1.BCC(4-0)-The Cats were impressive in their 56-14 blowout of NSU.Apostseaon birth seems inevitable at this point but barring injury I don't see anyone stopping them.Next up is MSU.

1.SU(4-0)-Quincy Richard is probably qb you have never heard of.He has really stepped up his game and this is the main reason the Jags are rolling.Their D is also pretty good allowing only 8.2 pts a game.SU could finish 13-0 andwin the BCF title.Next up is UAPB.

3.HIU(3-1)-The Pirates struggled early but have turned it on since then with 3 straight victories. The D line continues to impress and they have nice speed at the skill positions.HIU could be the MEAC sleeper.Next up DSU.

4.NCA&T-(3-1)-The Aggies have rebounded nicely with a 29-14 win over Elon. The Aggies are are a well coached team on all 3 sides of the ball. This is a rare occurance since special teams are normally treated as a neccessary evil in BCF.I f the passing game develops the Aggies might pull another shocker in the postseason.Next up NSU.

5.GSU-(2-2)The Tigers were idle this week but the G-MEN are still as dangerous as ever. After a disappointing loss PVSU will serve as a nice warmup. The BC will be huge this year a birth in the SCG will be at stake.

6.AA&M(3-2)-The Dogs are off to a good start at 3-2 and look to build on that by making another trip to the SCG.Defense has always been the srength of the dogs since joining the SWAC and now they are getting it done on offense. In their 3 wins they have scored more than 30 points and 14 or less in their 2 losses.Next up TXSU.

7.ASU(3-2)-Tough loss this weekend but this is a team that was supposed to be in total disarray.THe Hornets are still my favorite to win the SWAC east but they will have to survive the MCC.Next up JSU.

8.FAMU(3-2)-The Rattlers may not be elgible for the MEAC title or the playoffs but that doesn't mean that they won't have a word or 2 to say about the outcome of the conference race. They still have A&T,HIU,and BCC to contend with.Next up JSU

9.TSU(3-2)-The Tigers are a mere 10 points from a perfect season but their young qb is the key to their success. They had a nice 41-10 victory over UT-Martin but it only gets harder as they begin conference play in the OVC.Next up Tenn Tech.

10.SCSU(3-2)-The Bulldogs are starting to bite winning 3 straight after losing their first 2.Although SSU and Benedict are not world beaters SCSU beat them both by sizeable margins.Buddy ball will be put to the test as the conference schedule picks up.Next up NSU.

NCAA DIVISION I BLACK COLLEGE FOOTBALL POLL

The American Sports Wire, with first-place votes, season record,
total points and previous ranking:

(through games of September 27)

1. Bethune-Cookman (21) (4-0) 163 1
2. Southern (1) (4-0) 103 2
3. Grambling (2-2) 85 3
4. Hampton (3-1) 84 4
5. No Carolina A&T (3-1) 83 7
6. Florida A&M (3-2) 80 6
7. Tennessee St (3-2) 79 10
8. So Carolina St (3-2) 78 9
9. Alabama St (3-2) 75 5
9. Alabama A&M (3-2) 75 8

 Don't look at me that's the way they have it.

Grambling is still the best team in BCF, but because Pete has starting coaching up to his potential again, Southern has closed the gap.

I like SU because they are a senior-laden team with good discipline. Richard is very steady at QB.

BCC is still fraud and they will be exposed pretty soon.

Blue!

I usually ignore the American wire poll, but that has to be the stupidest poll they have ever put out! How the hell does TnSU get that high in the poll? No, How the hell does SCSU get in the poll ahead of AAMU or Bama State?

Who are these idiots? This is just as bad as putting two different divisions in the same poll.

:smh:

I agree, TnSU lost to a weak FAMU and lost to AAMU. They should be 10 and FAMU should really be 9 or maybe 8 if you want to keep them ahead of SCSU.

I'd love to see a list of who votes on this poll.

Besides i keep telling ya'll you can't be as good as an east coast school.

Blue,

Who has Tennesse State beat that's impressive? Huh? That's what I'm saying. If you want to talk about teams we played, hasn't SU played the same PV and Valley team that we played?

We lost to Jxnville in the first week. Beat TnSU the second week and lost to a #8 ranked GSU team. That's two loses. Are you following this yet? Don't be fooled. The only team that I consider a strong team on jsu's scedule so far is NC A&T and that's pushing it. Hell, FAMU was still in the polls last week. They ain't played worth a dayum. So, don't give me that crap!

Bruh you taken this to personal those people don't care what you think and if you re-read my post you'll see i'm just giving you my expert opinion of 27 yrs of watching these polls.

The difference between ya'll and us is #1 the fact we are undefeated and we beat a ranked A&T, something that seems to escape folks and #2 whether you want to believe it or not, reputation.

Uh Blue!

OK, you win A&T was ranked and TnSU is also. TnSU has even lost to FAMU who isn't ranked and they are still on the list. Reputation is all you can hang your hat on and that was back in the 90's...... Nevermind. I'm just sick of these folks that are supposed to look at the schools objectively and statistically and vote. That isn't happening here. If it was actually apart of the criteria, then Grambling would still be in the top ten. It wasn't like McNeese beat the hell out of them. LAst year was a different story. Also, last year they had FAMU ahead of Grambling for long time before they admitted that they weren't worth a crap. This year they had FAMU in the top 25 for what? 3 weeks before they finally dropped them out?

Dude...:shame:
