Wth can a school in the swac pay a player????? Free chicken wings at the union? 5 dollars off a line up at heritage barbour shop? Hell we can barely afford to pay our student athletes some attention and make sure they ain't failing class so I know you ain't talkin about paying them some money. Gtfooh with that bs.
:lol::lol:

good one!

Alcorn State: I truly believe you slightly edged out Alabama State. Great Class Defensively and Added some sure weapons on offense.

Alabama State: Excellent Class!! Full of athletes and real football players!! In my opinion very few misses GREAT JOB COACHES!!

Alabama A&M: Wow. coaches have their hands full with choosing a starter at QB and RB thats some stiff competition at those positions. Great Job.

Jackson State: A small class but full of potential. I see a huge upside in most of your players. Good job.

Mississippi Valley: For some odd reason I was not able to pull up a few of your players, out of the ones that I saw that WR was the best. He is a Beast!!

Once again this is my opinion and not meant to offend, but I welcome and encourage the discussion/debate.

Ehhh i see where u going but I would give the edge to the new Transfer Univ. Alabama State...they have some good high school and transfers coming in, Alcorn has a good number of high school recruits but I dont see too any of making a huge impact as freshman....Not saying that Alcorn recruits werent good at their good at their prospective 1a programs just saying college is different animal. We (JSU) signed what we needed thats it but everyone knows Comegy will have some ALL STAR TRANSFERS at Fall Camp that slipped pass the cracks happens every year and is happening this yr.....

Like I say all the time if you putting alot of stock into freshman coming and leading your team you are in trouble because not too often does schools in the SWAC sign guys as FRESHMAN who can come in and dominate as FRESHMAN but we will see..

Thats why I dont put any stock into signing classes atleast not in the SWAC...

You folks are scary. Its amazing how you all have problems with folks opinions when they try to objectively have intelligent conversations. If the conversations is not about degrading HBCU's it seems to piss off the general population around here. Amazing.

I do agree with you about freshman leading a team. If a team depends squarely on freshman to lead them their in trouble, but you can have a few come in a contribute maybe even start without it killing your season.

That RB J.Baker is the real deal. He and Harris makes for a good combo

D729, it looks like you really did some great research. Thanks for the info. What's your take on the QBs that were signed by the east schools?

Well the 2 teams in the east that recruited QBs ar A&M and Alcorn. Ill talk A&M first.

A&M brought in 3 QBs that and all 3 can play. 1 has a cannon of an arm and his highlights continally show him with great technique and touch launch deep balls down the field. I mean he's hitting recievers in stride.
The 2nd QB doesnt luanch bombs down the field but his accuracy is tremendous. Not to mention he can throw the deep outs.
The 3rd QB in my opinion is an athlete playing quarterback.

Because of the types of QBs they brought it sort of tells you where there going with there offense.
Good luck to them picking a starter that should be a good battle.

Alcorn brought in 2 guys that in my opinion is almost the same guy Khadarel and Lonorris. Both are very good runners. One is a lefty and the other a righty. I personnally feel that while both are good Lonorris may have an edge do to his passing ability(I think Khadarel is the better runner).
One cannot forget that Alcorns current QB is just a sophmore so it to should be a good QB battle.

I am not a recruit, signee or player lol. A 40 year old college player lol that would surely be a movie. Lol

I take your word man. Welcome aboard. But check your feelings and intelligence @ the door as you enter this spot.

There are(plural lol) some ignorantly stupid SOBs in this MFer. Some might refer to '88 as the same but they cannot think on this level to understand greatness anyway lol. :)

Thanks 729. The Braves have another sophmore who did a tremendous job as a wildcat QB. If his passing improves, he'll be in the mix too. The competition should be really stiff in August.

729 did you get a chance to check out Bama State QB signees. Our coaching staff is very high on Blount High School (Mobile) QB Quinterris Toppings. His YouTube video is impressive but he only rated a 2 star due to injuries. However, it was good to get a QB out of Mobile. Darnel Kennedy brings back memories.

The Hornets did not need to sign a QB since we had three in school. The addition of 4 star Sam Gibson, and 3 star Asenio Favor to go with last year's backup Duhart make the position very competitive.
