After watching 95 percent of the recruits signed, and reading several sites on who they felt had the best class I decided to put my lifelong years of playing and coaching (17years coaching and counting) to work in evaluating the East side of the SWAC my self. I will do the West soon after. Make note this is just my opinion and is not meant to offend anyone with personal ties to these wonderful accomplished student athletes.

* The student athletes listed are who I feel are good enough to make an immediate impact on there teams.
* I will rank each team by the number of astricks *****
* A (PL) next to the name means I feel are good enough to start or play 50% of the downs immediately

Alcorn State: I truly believe you slightly edged out Alabama State. Great Class Defensively and Added some sure weapons on offense.

Alabama State: Excellent Class!! Full of athletes and real football players!! In my opinion very few misses GREAT JOB COACHES!!

Alabama A&M: Wow. coaches have their hands full with choosing a starter at QB and RB thats some stiff competition at those positions. Great Job.

Jackson State: A small class but full of potential. I see a huge upside in most of your players. Good job.

Mississippi Valley: For some odd reason I was not able to pull up a few of your players, out of the ones that I saw that WR was the best. He is a Beast!!

Once again this is my opinion and not meant to offend, but I welcome and encourage the discussion/debate.

D729, it looks like you really did some great research. Thanks for the info. What's your take on the QBs that were signed by the east schools?

I see what you did here. No transfers included? Otherwise there's no way Alcorn is rated above Bama State.

There is film of just about everybody we signed out there bruh. Pargo is a good one, but the one you should keep your eyes on and the one I think is gone be a star is Tony Hibbler from North Panola.

Which one do YOU think you are j4l? :emlaugh: Geeeeeeeeez thank gawdddddddddddddd almighty all y'all are down there lol.

He welcomed the "discussion/debate". I have no problem with him voicing his opinion, but I had a comment about it.

Trigger Man: I checked out Tony and I believe is a go getter, has a nice motor, but that WR plays big.

No transfers were included for ethier team. Alcorn as well as ASU has some good transfers that will immediatly impact their team, but as far as the 2013 signees are concerned I Believe Alcorn edges them out. They have more young guys that I feel are good enough to impact their team now than ASU.

Ive stated my opinion and broke it down by school and player, if you have a difference of opinion feel free to state how you rank then.
My west evalution will be soon.

IMHO, Bama State easily has the best class of the 2013 recruits. They'll get beat by Southern U. though! :emlaugh:

It seems to me that ASU concetrated heavy on defense while alcorn was a little more diversified. At what positions do you feel ASU have the edge?

Bama State had 11-12 transfers which was 1/2 of their recruiting class. I would say that lineman were the most impressive that could play on both sides of the line and that is one area where I would give them the edge. We'll have to see how Barlow use them. The other thing is these 11-12 transfers coming in are immediate impact players from great programs and on paper above normal FCS credentials. I believe Crowell's acquisition played a major role in getting these caliber of players in.

I mean we have some nice transfer's too that were not paid to come. Ooop's did I just say that? :x:

Wth can a school in the swac pay a player????? Free chicken wings at the union? 5 dollars off a line up at heritage barbour shop? Hell we can barely afford to pay our student athletes some attention and make sure they ain't failing class so I know you ain't talkin about paying them some money. Gtfooh with that bs.
