MVSU vs JSU

You gotta be kidding.

Well, I read in two different places that the game was at 6 pm and 7 pm, respectively. That score can't be true.

Valley score on their first 3 possessions and took a 19-6 lead early in the first. Since then it's been all JSU.

Make that 34-19.

30 yards from Kent to T.C. Taylor. PAT no good, we're just going for 2 after every touchdown. That's 28 un-answered points.

Man bump that....we need a kicker.... JSU can focus on everything else but that is going to cost in OCTOBER.

My Tigers are letting me down

I'm listening to the game on the radio, didn't wanna bother with the traffic over in Itta Bena. From what I'm hearing, Kent isn't having his best game with a couple of picks already, plus Valley's QB came out pretty hot. Things seemed to have calmed down a lot since then, cause Valley hasn't been about to move the ball the past few possesions.

Halftime

JSU 42
Valley 22

There was a big fight midway throught the 2nd quarter, a couple of players got ejected and the game was delayed about 15-20 mins.

When I left home, the score was 13-6 in favor of Valley. When I made it to school, I said to myself, "I bet JSU has opened up a can of whoop arse by now."

I am always right.

Who got ejected? This could be big leading into next week against A&M because those players will not be able to play until they sit out 4 quarters.

Give us a break down of the first half.

DOES ANYONE HAVE A LINK TO LISTEN ON THE NET!

WHAT'S THE DAMN SCORE?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Tim Ingram, Authur Sample and Torrey Ross were the ejectees. According to Culberson, it'll be a 2-game suspension. We are really lucky cause a number of key players could've been ejected; the whole team was involed according to Rob Jay on the radio.

As far as the first half, when I tuned in Valley was ahead 13-6. On JSu's ensueing possesion, Kent was intercepted and Valley drove about 60 yards for a TD to make it 19-6, helped by 2 personal foul penalties on JSU.

On JSU's first play from scrimmage after the kick-off, Counselor went 71 yards for the score. A 2-point conversion made it 19-14. This seemed to hype the team up.

Vince Davis picked off a pass on Valley's next possesion and JSU drove 31 yards for a score(Kent TD pass) making it 22-19.

Valley fumbled the next kick-off, Giving JSu posession at the 19.
Valley picked off Kent at their own 1 yard line on a fourth pass, instead of knocking the pass down. On Valley's first play from the 1, they fumbled and JSU recover in the endzone. 2-pt no good, JSu up 28-19.

Since then, We've had a fight and 2 Kent TD passes(Travis and TC) to make it 42-19. Valley's offense sorta stood still until just before the half, where their kicker hit a 44 yard FG. So now we're at 42-22. A very strange first half.

I felt the team would be rusty after the 21 day layoff. Plus I knew McLaurin would lose his starting position at tailback if he didn't heal in time. Counselor is a player. Kent needs to cut down on the interceptions. Well at least they will get tuned up for next weekend.

JSU 58

Valley 22

about 3 minutes left in the 3rd.

Kent is missing his receivers. We've had at least 2 TD drops. There have been several fumbles on the QB-center exchange. And we still have 58 points on the board in the 3rd quarter against a Valley defense that shut down Pine Bluff and held D-2 champs Delta State scoreless for a half. That's scary.

I'm wondering what we worked on during the 3 weeks off. We are going to need a kicker come October.

Kool
Hopefully, Kent will be in full effect by next week. Obviously the timing is off. He will get blitz all night next week, so he needs to get his act together.

same thing i was thinking.... OCT will tell all...

NCAT even beat a school that has been dominating them(ELON)..... We might have trouble with them 2

Its the start of the 4th, Kent is out, Flen is in, looks like Hughes might call off the dogs.
