It was not a case of "Bad Mouthing" at all......(even the the WLBT newcast) He was just speaking reality.
None of the stuff he said had not been said before. Nothing new about practicing at the middle school, little to no recruting budget, relying on pell grants for
scholarships etc....
His point was that if he could be successful in that environment, then he can win anywhere. No knock on Valley it's just reality.
All the coaches at Valley are in pretty much the same boat, but they find a way to be successful in spite of....
But it is like a family living in poverty.....you do all you can to get out of that situation. You don't plan to be there forever.
This lifetime Swac coaching gig some of you want is not reality......We (SWAC) are a stepping stone conference.
Coaches should be hungry for the better salaries, better facilities, better budgets.
If coaches are hungry they will work hard to improve their situation.
And yes it can all be done the right way (with the students in mind)........I believe, Valley has one of the higher APR's in the conference....
