Must be a down year in the SEC

JR, this is a lipstick on a pig post. I already stated that the 90's were bad. But the 80's for the most part were good and that came along with two conference titles. Everyone knows Cholly Mac was a great coach overall and for the most part did well in the 60's and 70's. A lot of times you post about LSU and don't know what you're talking about but I just don't respond. A good example is the other day you talked about Eric Martin (who had the all time SEC career record at the time for most yards receiving by a reciever) and Wendall Davis (a two time All American) wasn't good. I noticed on a lot of occassions you have long drawn out posts. I don't have time to read all of those post but I hope the substance of them is not that of the way you have been posting about LSU.

You still mentioning Davis and Martin. LOL. Okay Jrock whatever you say. They were great WRs. Well Martin did have nice career with the Saints after his nice career at LSU. But Wendell Davis? He had one year at LSU were he tore it up and the next season he dropped off some. Man ain't nobody paying attention to what you posting about them cats. I was too busy watching Jerry Rice tear up the SWAC during that time and future pro DBs to be worried about some SEC scrub WRs back then. When Wendell Davis breakout seasons came along, everybody was watching the U of Miami and that core of WRs they had and Tim Brown at Notre Dame. I know you are a La homer but damn what do their individual accomplishments at LSU got to do with their program not being all that? Nobody said they were 2-9. They just was nothing to write home about. And folks were not all enamored with them like they are now.

You need to stop acting like LSU had some National cred like they do now back then. They didn't. That's why they never get mentioned when they do talk about the old days of the SEC. The only time they get some run is when they show some old Billy Cannon highlights. This is the best has been for them necks over there.

We can just agree to disagree on LSU and their legacy.

I remember going to a game at LSU in the 90's I believe and them mofo's actually won the game but some idiots started a bonfire not too far from the stadium. I was thinking at the time, if these mofo's act like this when they win?

So are you saying they don't give a damn about a loss at home to bama because they didn't say shit but walk out of the stadium like their mommas just died!

Those guys don't know what they're talking about. The only thing that is going to happen is the fans are going to call some of the local radio sports shows and let some steam off. :emlaugh:

I can do two things at one time (watch Jerry Rice and Eric Martin) unlike you. You just said a two time All American (Wendell Davis) had only one good season. This is another example of you not knowing what you're talking about. And don't lie about me saying that they were better in the past than they are now to prove a point. Yea we'll have to agree to disagree on some of that Mississippi homer foolishness you're posting.

I have already proved my point. You brought up the individual players like Davis took LSU to the mountain top. Hell Sterling Sharpe was an All American WR at the same time at South Carolina but it didn't mean his team was all that. That's my point. You decided to bring Eric Martin and Wendell Davis up like they were Heisman candidates or something and were the greatest WRs the SEC had ever seen stats or no stats even at their time. Davis had a 1200 yard season his Jr year and dropped off his Sr year to under a 1000 yards. He also scored less TDs than he did his Jr year. That was my other point of him dropping off. Nothing more and nothing less. Always felt bad for the dude blowing out his knees in the NFL.

Ain't no Ms homer foolishness if you are referring to me mentioning Jerry Rice. He was no doubt better in college and in the NFL than either of them guys. So was Tim Brown in my opinion. Both college and pro. Still wondering how they left my favorite college WR at that time off that 87 All American team in Michael "Playmaker" Irvin for your boy Wendell Davis. LOL.

Dude stop lying and going all over the map to find people better than Eric Martin and Wendell Davis. In other words stay on topic. Saying I implied that they were Heisman Trophy candidates is another example of you not knowing what you're talking about and it wreaks a credibility issue on your part. The Mississippi homer part comes in because your post are azz backwards in many instances like your native state. :emlaugh:

Whatever JRock. Your tactics don't work on me with that Ms crap. I am proud to be from my State and if we were in a televised debate I would eat your lunch. You better ask someone. You are good at your sarcastic posts. But that do not help you prove not one point. You can call it what you like. But I know my sports. We just have different opinions on them Tigers over there in South Baton Rouge and what their legacy is Nationally. You can continue throw out back handed insults and maybe the other LSU lovers will praise you for putting ole JR in his place. Carry on.

Should have done like Beans and Mike Bigg and just said Damn LSU or the SEC. Sheesh.

If we were in any kind of debate on television or not, the only thing you would be eating is crow (JROCK don't need testimonials so you don't have to ask anyone). :emlaugh: You should be proud of where you're from (even if it's from Mississippi). :emlaugh: And lastly, you know damn well you can't be like Beans and Mike Bigg when it comes to posting. Hell most of the time when you're posting one would think you're working on a dissertation. But it's all good, you have a lot to say. :emlaugh:

This is Saban's best TEAM with the least amount of experience.......He should have been coach of the year. Bama sent 6 defensive players to the NFL last year (2 corner backs, 2 linebackers, 1 safety and 1 nose guard) and regrouped with a majority of backups from last year to playing for the national championship this year. Also, the running back (Trent Richardson), 2 offensive linemen, and the H back are gone from last year's team.

PS: DaHill said it best......Bama simply reloads.......They will continue the dynasty next year by winning the BCS again in January 2014

All so-called dynasties end. The Miami dynasty of the late 80s and early 90s, the Nebraska run in the mid-90s, Miami in the early 2000s and USC of recent vintage. Many thought those teams would be at the top of the mountain for a long time only to end after a three or four year run.

Besides, It is way too early to be talking about next year. It will be some game in College Station next year though when the Tide Rolls in. :emlaugh:

True! However, I will enjoy while it last.

Johnny Football is a BAD MAN! Coach Sumlin does a great job at Texas A&M. It should be another great game for the SEC.

Bama's dynasty will last as long as Bama folks continue to pay big money for their program and Saban remains.
Nebraska's run ended when their coach retired. Miami's dynasty ended due to corruption and USC's dynasty ended when their coach left for the NFL and the Bush debacle.

That's some of that backwoods Mississippi homer mess that I am talking about. JROCK has no designated place.

Actually USC's run ended when Vince Young and the Longhorns beat them in the Rose Bowl. USC really hasn't been USC since Mark Sanchez was their QB.

LSU's time is near up.
