TSU/BAMA said:I very rarely agree with anybody, or any organization all the time. For me, it depend on the issues. For example, I consider myself a Democrat. But there are times when I do not agree with some of the things the Democrats stands for. I really don't care for Republicans that much. But I must admit, that there are times when I do agree with their positions.
My philosophy is: If everybody is thinking alike, then, ain't nobody thinking at all. Not good grammer, but yall get my point.
Bartram said:yep. I call it COMMON SENSE. as for political affiliation, the problem with the democratic party is IT HAS BEEN HI-JACKED AND COMPLETELY OVER-RUN BY ULTRA-LIBERALS BASED BASICALLY IN THE LARGE METROS OF THE U.S.!! Being from Alabama, of coarse I grew up a democrat based soely on black verses white, but seeing more issues than black verses white, there's almost nothing the ultra liberal dems have forced down the party's throat that I agree with. Sam Nunn and Zell Miller were/are reasonable democrats. Richard Shelby was a democrat. These are dems with common sense. Nacy Pilozzi is an extremist idiot that in no way represents traditional southern dems,, except most black dems because of past "oppression" and the "jessie jackson factor". Barbara Boxer, same exact thing. Black extremist dems I understand based on living and growing up in Alabama/the south, but totally disagree with on key issues like national defense. parties need to draw the line and at least keep our arguments "in-house" when it comes to war; not say and do things that actually AIDS the people this nation is fighting,, but that's impossible i know.
Now, in the 1960s at the height of the political and social upheaval, the black political/social struggle needed ultra liberals as allies and that was good, but today the ultra liberal wing of the dem party had gotten totally out of hand and is totally unreasonable and appeals to an ever smaller special interest group, not main stream folks who look at the good and bad of both sides and react based on logic rather than herd mentality. this is the same for the ultra-right wing of the reps,,, but at least they don't tear down this country and wish for it's demize/bad luck and smile with glee when things don't go right in war and world affairs for this country (except when clinton was in office, but clinton brought that on himself. if he had not been such a filanderer and given the ultra right such an easy target,, i mean good grief!).

You can post a litany of things that are wrong with the democrats, yet, you praise the repubs as if they are some sort of "saviours." You say you were initially a democrat since you were from Alabama, but you've since "converted" so to speak. The ultra right wing doesn't tear down the country you say. Then I suppose this war we are currently involved in is nothing more than a d@mned international garden party. Laura Bushy will have tea and play bridge with the Muslim women. Afterward, they'll all venture to the finer retailers for a shopping spree.
And like most repubs, you're still stuck on Clinton. I will ask again, how many people died because of Clinton's extra-marital exploits?
The sad part is that you repubs continue to lift yourselves up on some kind of moral pedestal, proclaiming yourselves as God's chosen people. Yet, you lavish in the idea of innocent people being killed in a war with no purpose, and NO WAY OUT! Continue to believe your own foolishness. While you're lifting this moron of a president up as the savior of the world, this nation is mounting enemies of record proportion because of his ineptness.
Actually, it's hard to tell whose dumber...he...or the ones who continue to believe he's smart.

As far as moveon, I put it the same catagory as the rest of the "agenda driven" organization's. Just like with a group pushing conservative views, moveon will slant their veiws to the left. You will only get half the story if your lucky.
I don't put any faith in any of them.

JSU*Toi said:That is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard. The traditional black folk political doctrine? Sir where do you fit in with "us" ignant black folk who from your point of view can't pick the party we would like to be a part of.
Early on when you 1st start posting I would humor you and answer your questions, because I really wanted to hear your point of view. However more often then not your questions are laced in false pretense, and underlining agendas.
You say the biggest problem is the extremes in both parties, but day in and day out you come on here with your ramblings about how to hell the dems are leading this country.
I will not let you put us in this box you think is the dem party because you think we will blindly follow the leader. In fact I challenge you to tell me what the rebs has done to make your community a better place for everyone, not just the select few.
