I very rarely agree with anybody, or any organization all the time. For me, it depend on the issues. For example, I consider myself a Democrat. But there are times when I do not agree with some of the things the Democrats stands for. I really don't care for Republicans that much. But I must admit, that there are times when I do agree with their positions.
My philosophy is: If everybody is thinking alike, then, ain't nobody thinking at all. Not good grammer, but yall get my point.

Now, in the 1960s at the height of the political and social upheaval, the black political/social struggle needed ultra liberals as allies and that was good, but today the ultra liberal wing of the dem party had gotten totally out of hand and is totally unreasonable and appeals to an ever smaller special interest group, not main stream folks who look at the good and bad of both sides and react based on logic rather than herd mentality. this is the same for the ultra-right wing of the reps,,, but at least they don't tear down this country and wish for it's demize/bad luck and smile with glee when things don't go right in war and world affairs for this country (except when clinton was in office, but clinton brought that on himself. if he had not been such a filanderer and given the ultra right such an easy target,, i mean good grief!).

generally on the political affiliation,,, there is no one party that has all the answers,,, everybody knows this. the only reason people (esp dopes on TSPN) run all the partisan smack is simply because of indoctrination, conditioning, environment. everybody knows this to be true,, but of coarse no body (especially here) will call a spade a spade. everybody (esp here) has to cow-tow to traditional black folk political doctrine,, i.e.,, "rep bad, dem good",,, "it beez all de white manz fault why weez be po and caint get buhead",, or "the rich republicans start wars soely to line the pockets of bush(any republican)". i understand that, like i said, being a native of Alabama.
the bottom line though is logic. logically no party has all the answers. people (in America thank goodness,,) have the freedom to choose and back the party of our choice.
the biggest problem is the extremes of both sides. i have been saying this till blue in the face every since Makaho Bedrock was a regular contributor to the forum,, but nobody gets it.

I wonder what will happen to moveon.org if Kerry steals the election? I wonder did we have a moveon equivalent during WWI and WWII (rhetorical question. yes. they were known then as the communist worker's party, national socialist,, so on and so forth.) Another thing about orgs like this is the media loves them, especially the new communist/socialist bastion that is Atlanta, rather CNN. (this place is absolutely amazing. I used to cheer Atlanta for its forward thinking when it came to how they navigated the turbulent civil rights era and avoided the embarrassing pitfalls of, say, Birmingham and eventual economic development, jobs and population growth demise, but now it's like Atlanta has TRUELY become the San Fransisco/Portland/Seattle of the South!!! HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN IN THE "BAGDAD" OF THE OLD CONFEDERACY??!!! To answer your question about moveon.org. At the time in our country following the 9/11 attaches everyone was screaming "bomb them, bomb anyone that knew them" At no point did we sit back and try to come up with a plan that would not turn this into a all out war on the middle east ( which it has).
What has dropping bombs on the people responible done? Have we gotten the master mind behind this attack? NO!!!!!! Has dropping bombs brought anyone that died in the attacks back? NO! In fact we have lost more Americans due to our response the two years following. We have also set up a new generation of middle-easterners to hate us.
Now don't get me wrong I was just as upset as the next American, but that Texas gunslinger mentally was and is not helpful to the future of the United States.
