MMA fighter War Machine 'who brutally beat porn star ex-girlfriend' pleads not guilty to attempted murder and 30 other charges

- Jonathan Koppenhaven made the plea during his first appearance in a Las Vegas courtoom since his arrest for allegedly assaulting his former girlfriend, Christy Mack, and her friend
- Prosecutors added about two dozen more felony charges that stretch back to May 2013 to the nine originally filed following Koppenhaven's arrest on August 15
- The judge ordered the 32-year-old martial arts fighter held without bail

What is making the professional athletes so angry and controlling? Steroids? Just anger? NFL has other men that are in trouble for assaulting their women.

Maybe its the norm for them?

There is domestic violence (Ray Rice).


And then there is War Machine violence. A trained MMA fighter against a porn star.

I realize that he is accused and not convicted, but the nation needs to talk about this case too. Let's not forget about the federal judge from Alabama and his case (al.com link, TP link, CNN link).

Let's keep in mind that the NFL has 1850 players, yet only 50 out of that number has ever been charged with domestic abuse. That's a whopping THREE percent.
This is being blown way out of proportion in the NFL due to the fact that in mainstream society, 25 percent of women are said to have been assaulted.

Man, if it's not primarily a Black face on the television screen being associated with crimes and violence, ain't nobody hearing that.

I can understand that, and it is more the reason that these other incidents need to be talked about too. Also, the Birmingham and Montgomery papers have called for the judges resignation. I will admit that I was a bit surprised.

Steroids are a helluva drug. Didn't Stone Cold Steve Austin get in trouble for batterying his then wife?

Yeah but there were no Twitter or Facebook and it was nothing like this. Not even close (I think if my memory serves me correctly he had no priors to or after and when they got him there were no bruises).

I think it has its part but dude had a few screws loose anyway. Dude basically burned a lot of bridges in MMA so that probably had its role

Nah. That dude is just stupid.

How are you going to get with a porn star, leave her and expect her to not get with another man? You can't expect a regular woman to do that much less a porn star.
