Valley... Hopefully you will take note as you play these people from area code (409) and do some recruiting down there. I PROMISE you, there are prospects down there who would come to your beautiful HBCU and knock the snot outta somebody on that field. Good luck!

Wow... was keeping tabs on this one. What a fight MVSU

#FCS: 2018 playoff qualifier Lamar avoided disaster vs. Mississippi Valley State by forcing OT in with a last-minute TD and then winning it 23-20 on Bailey Griffin's 44-yard FG. MVSU is 7-85 in the 2010s and hadn't beaten an FCS team outside the SWAC since 2008 (Savannah State).

3 straight close loss (going back to the TDC last year) with 2 in OT

Everyone can see the improvement but we need to close these games out instead of these moral victories.

You have the right attitude 662! You know I ride with Valley and want y’all to finally make some noise. However, seeing improvement was the key. For the first time in decades, almost everyone agrees that the “same ole Valley” saying is out of style. The Delta boys are ready to win some football games. Lamar and Tennessee State are two teams that would win plenty games in the SWAC. Valley had proven in two games that they aren’t a push over this year. Those kids really need to stay encouraged because they have some wins out there waiting on them. Winning 5 games isn’t out of the question. Valley could easily be 2-0 right now. A win vs BCU would be a big deal. It’s going to be tough, but it’s not impossible.

Keep fighting Valley.
