Is there a reson for JSU Male fans shaking pom poms at the game? Since AAMU joined the SWAC I have seen 80% of male fans shaking pom poms. What is with this and how did it get started?

MD, I took this issue to the men of the square table and they said it is manly to shake poms poms as long as they have a stick and it is done on beat during a sporting event... All three criteria must be met for it be considered manly under section 3. article 5 in the "Book of Man: Laws to heterosexual living"

I was born in raised in North La and attended Grambling... what I'm saying is that I have no idea. Maybe it's how they was raised. :noidea:

I will check with Beans... he was raised in North La too, but only a few miles from Natchez, Ms. He was at Grambling for a semester or two...maybe he left because they wouldn't give him a pom pom to shake.

Maybe it was a requirement when they were a church school and all students were taught how to shake a pom pom as indicated by JSU pop33. But anyway I think we might be on to something.

You might be right MD...but I need to find out if it was a Baptist Seminary or Methodist. The Methodist had air conditioned churches and didn't use the hand fans as much.

Hell they are just shaking those pom poms in place of tambourines during the game lol! Everyone knows that JSU has always been known for them sugary men! I guess it's something in that Mississippi water!

MD,

I think you should go read chapter 3 of "The Book of Man," it covers fanhood and team spirit.

Manlaw clearly covers this subject and talks about men who do not follow sports. It also covers other key issues as which instruments in the band are unmanly to play.

Uh, MD...:xeye: This is the home of the Tiger stripe wearing Flame'n Twans and JSetting you're talk'n about. JSt. been going up in flames. Good luck in finding a real answer.

Are you guys saying that Gram and SU fans dont waive pom poms?:confused:

No need to ask AAMU because that would require fans...

that is in all aspects.. not just pom poms.. men should never operate with a broken wrist "effect"

well i hope you let the men of JSU know that lol: Hell they are known for displaying the broken wrist "effect" at games and in the city of Jackson bigtime!

Since my time here in LA, I have seen a lot of unmanly dancing in the clubs.... MB, how do you explain this...

You know how in Jackson, WE would be at Freelon's and THEY would be down the road at that other spot? It ain't like that where you at. Be careful.

Guess that's how they was raised. :xeye:

It's too many spots here in New Orleans for you see "A LOT" of clubs like that homie.

If you ain't talking about the "French Quarter" Bourbon area, you looking for that isht.... And if you going down in the French Quarter area, you already know, so the question is "WHY ARE YOU THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!??"

Hey MD

GR can surely understand what you mean bout the pom poms. But when you have crowds like this:

some of the men tend to go with the crowd

Now if you see a man standing by himself in this crowd waiving a pom pom:

Now you got a problem
