why look down at GSU's schedule.....this was needed considering the schedule they have this year...they play almost every school in the state this year...oh yeah..they won 15-3

If i play Central and Fort Valley this fall i won't frown on no one lol!
I dont like playing those schools but football is different because we arent going to the playoffs. In baseball we go to the playoffs, and some teams have aspirations of advancing in the playoffs. Getting a seed higher than a 4 would help. Playing all those Sub-D1 teams brings down the RPI.

Congrats on the win, and congrats on playing all the state schools, but some schools in state wont play SU baseball.

hi horse or not, we all need to play all d1 schedules in baseball and basketball...that includes su as well. we are doing it now but al should be. even when pv wasnt giving out schollies they played okie state and such.

so tech, ulm, northwestern state and centenary won't play SU?

Hard to believe... and don't you jags look down on us playing Jarvis Christian. You guys play Loyala regularly, BRCC on occassion and other lower classification teams (at least in the recent past). In midweek games, you need some work and some wins...regardless of the opponent.

SU played LSU-E for exibition before the SWAC tournament last season. The games didnt count. SU didnt have a non D-1 on the schedule the last two seasons.

Does 2007 count as the last two seasons? Home-and-home with Loyola took place and there was a three-game set against Stillman which was called off due to poor field conditions...

If 2007 does not, 2008 does...right? Southern had Loyola and Stillman on the baseball slate again...oddly enough, the single game vs Loyola and all three vs Stillman were called off due to "scheduling conflicts".

Bottom line is if we are going to call ourselves D1 in any sport we need to play D1 schools. A win against a lower level school is a lost for our Conf champions... we will never get better if we cant get in poistion to get post season wins... Our people schedule like they breaking into a house with the owner in it, they looking for a reason to get shot in the aZZ before they get 3 steps in the door.

Aint no spin. They were took off the schedule. So like I said, SU hasnt played a non D-1 team in 2 seasons.

That's true, Loyola is an NAIA Division I team...

So the 8-5 win by Southern over Loyola on Feb. 27, 2007 never took place? Nor did the 9-8 victory on Apr. 17, 2007? And the games were "took off"...? Guessing SU had finals, which wiped out the Stillman series.

Give it up jag... the man has posted instances that proves you guys play lower classification programs. No big deal... except that you lied and tried to put down others for doing something that all schools do.
