Suspected gang members are pictured in a huge new jail, part of El Salvador's "war on crime".

The first group of 2,000 suspected gang members in El Salvador have been moved to a huge new prison, the centrepiece of President Nayib Bukele's self-declared war on crime.
Tens of thousands of suspected gangsters have been rounded up in the country under a state of emergency following a spike in murders and other violent crime.
 
They use to have better control of the tourist areas like Cancun, Rivera De Maya and Cabo San Lucas. I wonder with El Chapo in prison is the big problem. They feared him so the other cartels didn't mess up his money
 
They will never be able to get the cartel under control. Why? Because Americans love dope too much. That's where all their money comes from... coke, meth, extacy and fake opiates. This country's love of drugs will keep them booming just like it built Miami. On top of that, you have American made guns flooding across the border over there being bought with the same dope money. Without the US drug problem the cartel wouldn't be even a tenth as effective.

It will take alot of cooperation on Mexico's part but Colombia was once just as bad and now its increasingly becoming a tourist destination.

Officials in the Cortazar municipality in Guanajuato state said another was seriously wounded. The attackers destroyed the spa shop and took security cameras.

Yea most of that was in concentrated areas though, mostly around Medillin. Once they got Pablo that organization fell apart. The Cartel basically runs the whole country in Mexico and there's a bunch of them.
