Thanks for the Duke ref and the fact that they too are @ home w/ Valley, although they didn't get reamed in front of Potus by a team w/ a losing record IN a playin game for entering a nat'l tourney. :retard: And, btw, my daughter grads Duke (biology) in May, thx. :emlaugh:   Now. who here works for a respective SWAC university? Offering systematic and strategic solutions? :emlaugh: Like you're an employee ------> :retard: That's THEIR job, not yours. :retard: Or, are you Monday morning qb'ing?

And for the record, son, you own nothing so cease w/ that adjective "your own" lie. And come to grips w/ that fact that valley was the BEST of the WORST. Much congrats on that victory over a losing record WKU. ##workonit

....Panth, folks like 662 see White on the other sideline and wave the white flag. We could be beating White in a ballgame and still think to ourselves, "This isn't suppose to happen, Is It?"

Integration hasn't hit everywhere in the USofA BH. lol I'll bet a dime to a dollar some of these mofos sprint to the back of the bus when they see white folk sitting near the front of that bad boy. :emlaugh:

Unfortunately, I wasn't taught to EVER have fear of them or anyone else. Competed w/ and over them most of my life so it's natural for me to think that I can best ANYTHING, that I touch, that competes vs them or others. What I don't understand is the desire of others to THINK their respective alma mater SHOULD BE better off now than it was just as recently as 20 yrs ago. :read:

Look @ the SWAC OOCs record and get back @ me 662. You wreak of ignorance, obviously, if you allude to SWAC "greatness" when it's being OWNED OOC by every school it faces. Records, 2011-2012, don't lie. What was the SWAC's cumulative mens bball record 2011-2012 pre-SWAC play? Right. You're more than welcome to go back to 1952, like some of your black faced kind typically does. :emlaugh: Livin' in tha' past and all.

*shuffles feet*

*mutters to self*

Don' y'all know we is just black folks. We's not 'posed to win against white peoples. They's better than us an it's okay for us to find a way to lose and be satisfied with losing. Stop bein' uppity and saying stuff like black folks should expect better and do better. Shame on you! We's negra! :(

While the schools HBCUs lose to in the NCAA tournament might be made up of a majority of white students, their basketball teams feature a whole lot of big, athletic and skilled black guys.

I think HBCUs would stand a chance playing against rosters full of white guys.

I am not so sure about that.

Same shyt every year from yall. Please let that bus hit yall. :shame:

Beating that horse........ :deadhorse:

If the Big 10/ACC and the Big 12/SEC can have challenges, there is NO reason why the SWAC and MEAC can't have a yearly challenge.

We gotta start thinking outside the box instead of the same ol 1-11 2-10 going into January records.

They could have some type of basketball challenge in the beginning of the the season. Have 5 of our teams play at the Meac venues and 5 of theirs play at ours. Do it on the same weekend across the board, couldn't be that hard to set up. Just make sure to do it when the students are still on campus at all the schools.

Looks like you need another excuse.

Or more defeatist ideas that will make us accept losing as a "normal" part of our existence.

I was half joking about HBCUs would stand a better chance against teams full of white guys.

However, it's not an excuse to say the teams currently in the NCAA tournament have better players, coaches and bigger budgets to get those players and coaches than the majority of HBCU basketball programs.

Until the MEAC consistently puts in two to three teams in the NCAA Basketball Tournament like the Missouri Valley or West Coast Conference has done in the last 10 years, they will be just like the rest of us one-bid leagues...equal...

Until the MEAC consistently puts in two to three teams into the I-AA (FCS) playoffs like the SoCon or Colonial...then they're just like us...equal...

Mods, please close this thread... for all that is good in the world..

Yeah. That's what I am talking about. For example, since Valley finished with one more loss than the MEAC's regular season winner Savannah State (put more emphasis on the regular season winner than the conference tourney winner), we would go to them. Southern would go to Norfolk State as the team with the better 2nd place record and keep going from there.

It's mind boggling. :smh: Even ol' non-athletic schol offering Harvard would've ran cirlces around ANY SWAC mens team this fall (I know abt HU's academic schol deal and how it txlates to sports - thanks :retard: ). And if we know nothing else this we DO know, Harvard's overall FT% eclipses any and all SWAC. No refuting and the rest is silence on that nil argument.

Wanna' know how serious SWAC schools are abt bball? It's Monday, guess how many SWAC bballers will be working on their FT shooting @ some point today? It's quite inexcusable not to spend @ LEAST one hr shooting FTs daily, even during the season :read:. I know 2 14 y/os who do that DAILY, along w/ shooting 3pts for 1 hr. :retard: Diff between a loser and a winner, obviously.

I know it starts w/ recruitment/retention/talent/blahhhhh. Those kids @ Kentucky/Duke/Kansas/UNC et al powerhouses make their coaching staffs job very easy. I'm having a hard time understanding how some of these black faced SWAC coaches are allowing kids, that look like them abt the grill, escape them w/ their offeratory OR if they're even going after some of those upper echelon kids. The SWAC has been on the bottom so long until some of you black people have relegated yourselves to your yearly excuse making and superfluous "we'll get'em next yr; great yr to you 'such-n-such'" battle cry :retard:. You should be angered by this dismal display. Someone has to finish last or 2nd true enough, I wasn't taught to do either and accept it. :| Maybe some of you people can educate the rest of us who are competitive. ##handleit

Among FCS conferences, the Southwestern Athletic Conference enjoyed its 33rd attendance title in 34 years. The 10 SWAC teams averaged 12,944 fans per game and totaled 686,051 spectators. The Southern (679,491 fans for an average of 12,821) and the Colonial Athletic (754,705 fans for an average of 12,173) were a close second and third, respectively.

The thing about this is, I don't think anyone cares outside of the swac. You never really see other converences talking about attendance, more like winning.

This is some of the dumbest logic i've ever heard.

Dude, that's the only thing that we're seriously competitive with PWCs in when it comes to things across the board.

:emlaugh:

Gawwwwwwwd have mercy. It's so obvious. lol

Where's TexasTerror? I wanna' see the SWAC's OOC performance 2011-2012 in EVERY sport. :emlaugh: lol Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii....

WE do have as ways to go in football, but seriously, if we joined the playoffs TODAY, the SWAC and MEAC would be equal at the end of the day .... one bid, one in and one out.

In basketball .... well, they SHOULD BE BETTER. Their footprint is in Basketball Country .... Carolinas, Virginia, Maryland.

Fact is the playoffs play no bering on us being better .... us funding our programs, holding leadership accountable with support, and being there WHEREVER AND WHENEVER our teams are is the way the SWAC gets back to where it was. That would cut down on the basketball bodybag games, giving them better opportunities to schedule better games to pull up the conference RPI and allow us to get rid of some of the FBS football games and give AD's a chance to take a chance on scheduling better in football because they know 20,000 are gonna be there no matter if it's Tennessee State, Norfolk State, Southeastern LA, or SHSU.

Until that point, there really is no reason to compare us to the MEAC other than the fact that we are two HBCU conferences in different areas that play to a different clientele.

This thread is about the MEAC vs SWAC. You conveniently skipped over the football conference rankings. :emlaugh:

Some one tell me how has leading in attendance help the SWAC?

It don't because there are only 2, MAYBE 3 SWAC schools that actually bring in fans at home and on the road over a 11 game schedule. The fact of the matter is outside of a party classic, 7 out of 10 SWAC schools don't draw flies at their home stadiums or carry a large fan base to SWAC games on the road.

Delta State fan base outdraw most of the SWAC schools.

Hell, I'm still fumigating lol because South Carolina State is playing a BCS SEC team 42 miles up the street from Prairie View AND Prairie View had an OPEN date that would've allowed it to travel to aggieland for the 500,000$ payday and for PV to put a whooping on their squad, while likely taking the "L". lol

WTF kinda' sense is THIS making now? :retard: You can't tell me Sumlin didn't wanna' try to get something going w/ Prairie View but these sorry assed... so and sos... on campus... drawing a check to do nothing.... :smh:
