I was talking to my cousin who grew up in South Central L.A. and is a member of the Bloods, he is 60. He did some time....put in some work. I will leave it there. He is now a social worker in L.A. We were talking about how my wife and I don't go to movies or to the Boardwalk in Shreveport because of fear of violence etc.... My cousin stated that the hardest part to get youth to understand is that life doesn't have a "reset" button like a video game. Many of the kids today have become immune to violence so much so that their minds comprehend it differently.

My wife asked him when was he going to get married and he stated that he is married to his community now. He and other former gang members are just focused on change.
