Marcus Lattimore

He took that shit like a man in the beginning though. He was just laying there like he was watching the game. Wow.... I think he had to be in shock the way he was just sitting there looking at his leg.

That was worse than Mcgahee....Willis' knee was on backwards, this kids knee came out of the socket. Damn that was terrible.

Dude is a good kid too. Shat like this always happens to the good kids while the Lawrence Phillips and Cecil Collins of the world go injury free.

Hopefully with medical advances these days he can fully recover in a year or so. The announcer on ESPN said "Awwwww naw" as soon as it happened. It looked BAD

maybe its not as bad as it looks. Usually the injuries that look bad arent that bad. I saw it live and turned the channel right away. Didnt want to see that over and over but to ESPNs credit I dont think they did.

Yeah that was a bad looking injury. Hope that kid is okay. From all accounts he is a good young man.

The latest is that he has torn all 4 ligaments in his knee (ACL, MCL, PCL, and LCL) AND he has a broken femur (leg) and patella! This might be a career ending injury. Hopefully he can come back but I'm not sure about this.

OMG Antroy! That's gonna be some serious surgeries and incredulous rehab for him to have function much less play ball...God be with him...

Really feel bad for Lattimore... He is a back everybody in the SEC respected... he didnt get in any trouble and seemed to be an all around good guy... I felt bad looking at his mom cry.

Yeah, the sideline reporter talked about how she even got emotional when she saw Lattimore with his mother.

Wow............. I'm sure he's going to get the best medical care available so anything is possible but his career might be over with.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Marcus Lattimore had his right knee dislocated and sustained ligament damage against Tennessee, yet South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier believes the junior could eventually return to football.

Spurrier visited Lattimore on Sunday and said the running back displayed a good attitude about his condition. Spurrier said team doctor Jeffrey Guy was able to put Lattimore's knee back in place soon after he was taken from the field to the hospital.

Guy said in a statement that Lattimore's knee was hyperextended and resulted in injuries to several ligaments. Guy said there were no fractures, broken bones or other injuries and Lattimore's surgically repaired left knee was not affected.

"Marcus has already begun the process of prehabilitation prior to surgery and to his eventual return to football," the statement continued.

Spurrier said the injury was significant, but discounted speculation Lattimore would never play football again. Lattimore has not used a redshirt season so he could take as long as necessary to recover and still return to the Gamecocks for the 2014 season.

If what you say is indeed true then it's a wrap for hm. When i saw that yesterday i figured that that injury would close out his career. He worked hard to come back from last year's injury and he may be a fine young man but in the cold asphalt world of sports what happened to him on the field is justa drop of water in the bucket. now lets hope that the young man has the kind of guidance and support that he can lean on and will help him turn into an even better adult.

I hate it for him. Wow!

Today (Monday, October 29th) is Marcus Latimore's 21st Birthday.

Hey Kenn, do you suppose there is any way that TSPN could pass along a Happy Birthday (and Best Wishes for a Complete Recovery) wish to Latimore from all of us here on TSPN?

I wish him a speedy recovery.

Well, if he doesn't have a professional football career he'll always have his degree to fall back on right?
